I thought that review was a good look at the new shuffle.

Why they redesigned the thing is curious. I feel it was an excuse to push headphones. They should have just made them cheaper. Once under $30, they would sell tons to the kids and work out freaks. 4GB is just too large for something without a screen.

We all know that Apple doesn't like to stagnate when it comes to design. Hell, they still tweak the classic!

Functionally, the only major change Apple did to the iPod classic since the introduction of the 5th generation model in September 2005 (besides the hard disk and battery life upgrades) was the change to the current menu system in September 2007.

But the big problem with the new shuffle is that they overdid the change with the player controls. Small wonder why a lot of people don't like the new player.
