Not sure about the adware. I guess that would be disabled on our corporate version.

Of course I haven't decided to abandon Apple yet, and I'm well aware the final release will be more polished. All I'm just saying is I don't like the direction and seemingly lack of commitment as of the last two years. I feel the competition is getting better at a much faster rate then Apple is right now. I'll actually wait until September 2017 and see what the supposed redesigned iphone 8 brings, but if I was in the position where I needed to upgrade today, I would have a difficult decision to make.
i understand some times i feel the same way but then i look at Microsoft and i see they are doing much worse. i have some more news that will change your mind , but first let me tell you that adware i mentioned to you yesterday it does include the corporate version of windows. but here is the breaking news a 21 year old bug from 95 has been discovered in w10. haha are you kidding me a w95 bug in w10 and is a serious security problem. a vulnerability that can be easily exploit. stay with us. i once was a windows user. maybe you are a little tired of apple, unfortunately we don't have steve any more. but in my personal option apple is better than Microsoft , w10 just copied all mac features but they look cheap and ugly in windows. Microsoft needs a new CEO maybe we need one too. but we are doing much better than Microsoft. is your decision but i don't like windows adware and spyware.

So, system continue to freeze while I am using Safari. :( I am sending one more report to Apple and switch back to Firefox.
try this to see if this fixes your problem , if the freeze happens when you use safari , this might be the cause of the problem , this is just a possibility if after that your system continues to freeze simply change the option back to normal. ok go to safari - preference - security. and uncheck. allow WebGL , restart your mac and see if you can use safari and your system don't freeze any more. sorry for my bad english. this has worked for some people but maybe you might have a different problem. i hope it works for you too

I've been a Mac user since 1995. First Mac was a PowerMacintosh 8500. Always bought the Pro offerings (PM 8600, PM G3, PM G4 MDD, and a Mac Pro Early 2008). My Mac Pro Early 2008 has dual 4 core Xeons 2.8GHz, 32GB RAM, Sonnet Tempo SSD Pro PCIe with dual 960GB Crucial M500 SSD's (RAID0 with SoftRAID 5.5), Dual 480GB Sandisk Extreme SSD's (Bay 1/2 RAID0 with SoftRAID 5.5), Dual 240GB Sandisk Extreme SSD's (Bay 3/4 RAID0 with SoftRAID 5.5), Dual internal BluRay drives, Newertech eSATA RAID card with Sans Digital 8 bay eSATA RAID tower (8x4TB RAID5 with SoftRAID 5.5), and a Newertech 4 port USB 3.0 card. Guess what? Sierra isn't supported. Probably close to $6000 invested. I guess a late 2009 MacBook is a much more robust and powerful machine than what I have as it supports Sierra. Sorry for the rant but dropping support for a fully 64 bit capable and fully loaded Pro system is a joke. I could care less about Siri, Handoff, Emojis, AirDrop, etc. I don't think I will be buying anymore expensive Mac systems in the future. Get a fully loaded Windows 10 Pro system (i know, i know) and the cheapest Mac laptop available (for daily stuff like web browsing, email, Quicken, etc.).
if you decide to buy a windows pc make sure is hackintosh compatible , then you can get like 5 years of mac os software updates. my whole system is close to 10,000 us dollars i'm not liying , the tower alone is 5,000 and i have some accessories like sound system and a 1080 3d projector etc etc etc , i'm running a hackintosh fully loaded and everything is supported by apple software natively. i don't have to hack kext or device id. none of that. that old news. just make sure your devices are compatible and you are good to go. then you can have the best of both worlds and you can still use the latest software from apple. sierra is fully compatible with my system , man running mac os with 64 gigs of ddr4 ram is a awesome experience , i have a water system with 2 nvidia cards , 8 ssds in raid0 with a rocket raid card going as fast as 4000 mbps. i'm not going back to windows.

Oh, thanks. Haven't read that one until now. I am trying Opera, and damn, is wasy faster and smoother than Firefox. Actually it seems like Safari with some great futures. And all my extensions (and sripts for tampermonkey work great) exist for Opera. I will try Safari by tomorrow too and wait until my mac will freeze for 200 time. I will let you know! Take care.

Or you could plug in some great sounding speakers.

From my perspective, if I pay more than $2,500 for an iMac with all the bells and whistles, it should come with everything included without the need to pay an extra $500 or more for high end speakers. That being said, I have not tested the current model of iMac for sound quality.

The form factor of the Late 2009 iMac provides plenty of space for more powerful desktop components which generate more heat and require better ventilation. Also, the extra space could be needed for better acoustics. After all, who wants a $2,500 iMac sounding like an iPad?

What? Seriously? That's how my VPN works too. Thank goodness I only installed the Sierra beta on my Macbook Pro, leaving my desktop (which uses the VPN) untouched on El Capitan.

The last couple of days I've been pricing up custom-build Windows machines. This year marks my 20th anniversary as a Mac user. Kinda sad it has come to this.

When you find bugs in a beta you should immediately start making plans for migrating off Apple products. That's just common sense.

I see nothing that relates to the beta software.

If I have to give up something to get TouchID, Stepped batteries, ResearchKit then I don't want it. I need stability. I need to have a platform that I can build on. If Apple just obsoletes the platform every few years, it's not a viable platform for me. For the average consumer, it's fine, but it's too risky to depend on Apple for anything important.

For example, Apple broke the USB stack in El Capitan. There was no reason to do that, there wasn't even any benefit. Sure, most people will never notice, but stuff that used to work no longer works. The reason is basically incompetence, if they just left it alone, it would still be working.

It seems my only viable option is Linux, and to write the software I need myself.

Sounds like you've answered your own questions. Linux may work for you.

Now if I had a dollar for every time a Linux update broke my Nvidia drivers or knocked out my WiFi I'd be able to buy a Mac Pro.

Really false statement.

So nope, didn't work. Thanks anyway. Back to awesome Opera.

It is the same build - 16A270f

That depends how you get it.

If you update to PB3 from PB1 or PB2 then yes you get build 16A270f.

But I should point out that PB3 is also available as a full installer. You can get this by redownloading it from the purchases tab in the mac app store. However the full installer for PB3 gives a slightly lower build number 16A269f.

sorry to hear that , but there are a few possibilities that can cause the system to freeze. and they are related to EC. hopefully they will be fix in sierra , when i first tried EC i also had the freezing problem and i was forced to go back to Yosemite , i never had any problem with Yosemite. so the freezing problem is a software problem not a hardware problem because when i went back to Yosemite never had the freezing problem but after going back to EC the freezing problem started again. the freezing problem disappear for me after 10.11.5 , right now i'm running 10.11.6 and from 10.11.5 to 10.11.6 i haven't had the freezing problem anymore. there are many rumors about what causes the system to freeze. let's just hope that apple fixes the problem in sierra.
