Uh ok, thanks for that. It's called Dolby Atmos.

I was talking in general, not specially about the Apple TV.I've never had a problem with Apple TV updates. Anyway, why have the option if it doesn't work?
What tech is it missing? iPhones with the A12 SoC and even older ones back to the iPhone 7 support spatial audio on movies, why not the ATV?No. Doesn’t have the right tech built into the Apple TV’s unfortunately. That would be my favorite request that it worked.
Please don't spread the misinformation. There's nothing that prevents Apple TV from supporting Spatial Audio for TV/Movies on Airpods Pro/Max the same way it's supported on older iPhones, i.e. iPhone 7. Knowing the position of headphones w.r.t. the device isn't a requirement for Spatial Audio to work. You get full head tracking with automatic position reset when you pause. Problem is that I have problems with my aTV4K 5gen since it refuses to be added into HomeKit (and thus not letting you use HomePods as default speakers). Apples suggested fix for this was trying to do a full reset and download new image. Alas, I can’t do that now that I’m on the beta cycle.I would use 14.7 beta because it expands optional frame rate match settings of DV/HD/SDR. Not like its has any real issues.
It's called Dolby Atmos.
I have an AppleTV 4K connected to a Marantz AV via HDMI and running 7.1 Infinity speakers. Will I be able to get lossless audio and/or spatial audio. This does support Atmos.
I’m sorry but you are spreading the misinformation. It will not happen with the Apple TV.Please don't spread the misinformation. And Apple TV, unlike iOS devices, should be the first device to support it since playing TV shows and movies is it's main purpose.
Did I say that it will become available on Apple TV? No, it's up to Apple to decide. I said that it's the most logical step and there're no fundamental limitations in ATV hardware (none that any of us are aware of).I’m sorry but you are spreading the misinformation.
