Yep, and it’s true. I have a lot of devices (70-80 I think?) on HomeKit and 16.2 upgrade didn’t do anything positive for them, and made some things noticeably worse. I’m still in disbelief I can’t specify which Apple TV is the home hub anymore. Just unforgivable.

Automations that have worked for years no longer function correctly even after being deleted and re-created. Home hubs becoming unresponsive. No improvements in responsiveness. No improved or refined functionality.

This has better be laying groundwork for better things because as it stands Apple is dropping the ball in the smart home space.

Yeah I have a simple automation to turn on my Lutron Caseta living room light at night for a few hours when I’m out of town. It no longer works as of 16.2. And this is a reaaaaally simple automation. The crazy thing is you pay more for HomeKit than anything else - e.g. Kasa smart plugs. And you get an inferior experience. Madness.
