I hope this fixes some charging bugs along with the bug related to playing Podcasts or Music that are actually on the Watch, as opposed to on the iPhone. Those two bugs are giving me eye rolls. :)
The charging bug has been annoying. I woke up one morning last week, had left the watch (Series 8) on the charger overnight, and the battery was at 2 percent! I put the watch in Low Power Mode, and by time I got to work it was dead. I had the leave the watch on a charger at my desk for hours, to get back to 100 percent. Very strange.

Swipe to change watch face has a rather obvious bug - when the face is changed it always resets to 10:09pm before adjusting to the correct time!
Isn't 10:09 the default time it shows on faces in the face gallery? And anyway Apple, "face" isn't the power terminology for a watch (my grandfather, born in 1889, was a watch and clock repairman for decades) - the proper term is dial.

Hope 10.2 fixes the 80% max charge on my Series 8 Watch.
Use to turn on each night since OS 10 was released but after with the revisions it just suddenly stopped and every night its been charging to 100% :/
My Series 8 occasionally charges only to 80 percent (adaptive charging). I think I've seen it do that just three times since updating to WatchOS 10. The rest of the time, it goes to 100 percent.

Ahh ok & thanks for the reply.

Mine was pretty much doing it every night besides the occasional a few times it wouldn't because i had got the battery down to between 20-30% which i understand why it wouldn't kick in.
All the other times when id be only using 50% of the battery during the day the 80% max charge would kick in but then suddenly it just stopped and ive never seen it turn on again at all...been close to 2 months now maybe??

i even tested it a few seperate days and hardly wore much of the watch and it only drained 30% of the battery and still putting it on the charger at night it would charge to full 100%.

Lets see if 10.2 does anthing...will install it later in the afternoon when i get a chance.

That's crazy. Since mine's only done it like three times, I've left adaptive charging enabled, since they sell it as a way to improve the longevity of the battery. I also have my old Series 4 (I just wear it when working in the yard, or working on cars), and it'll be four years old in February. It still has decent battery life.

It's very stupidly placed - Settings - Clock - Swipe to Switch Watch face

It seems they accomplished their goal of getting people to use the smart stack instead of changing watch faces. I kind of forget about the other couple watch faces I had so meticulously set up and just set up things in the smart stack and stuck with one simple watch face. Probably exactly what they wanted. And now the feature is grudgingly brought back and hidden in settings, right where the Siri watch face options are hidden.

I'm really hoping the battery drain has been fixed. Watch OS 10 has been horrible! Has anyone on the beta had positive results?
I haven't had an issue with my battery draining on my Series 4, but I have noticed it significantly slower to wake on raise and a bit lagging which is really annoying! Anybody else notice this?

How about the ability to quickly make the stupid thing wake up manually if you get out of bed early? I can not tell you how many times I've had to fiddle around with a million different things just to get that to work. Half the time, I just gave up entirely. It should be as simple as telling Siri to "wake up".
If I wake up a few minutes early it asks me if I am getting up for the day. Otherwise I just turn off Sleep Focus manually. You can ask Siri to do that too.

I definitely think the newer OS drain the battery much more IMO.
My old S2 Watch is what now....6/7 years old and the battery on that still last the whole day when wearing it or 2 days when left on my side table.

I understand the newer Watch's and the newer OS can do more compared to my S2 but yeah its pretty impressive the old one is keeping up so to speak.
If the battery charging limit just kicked back in on my S8 it would help to preserve its maximum life id like to think. At the moment its a 14 month old Watch and its Battery health is down to 91% :/

I'm not seeing it there for AWU.

Here's hoping the Medications app bug is fixed with 17.2.

Prior to iOS 17, when I was wearing my Apple Watch, the alert from the Medications app used to sound on my Apple Watch. Since iOS 17, WatchOS 10, I get the sound alert from the Medications app sounding on my iPhone first, and then 15 seconds or so later I get the alert on my Apple Watch.

I'm glad they have brought back the ability to swipe left and right on the watch faced to change them. Perhaps in the minority here, but I actually prefer the method that was introduced with iOS 17. I have lost count of how many times I inadvertently changed the watch face with iOS 16 and earlier.

Now we can have both if we want. I can see how someone could change the face by accident, but I could also see how someone could accidentally hit the “edit” button while changing faces.

I guess it is just the "swipe right or left" on the face itself, without press and hold. We did have that in earlier versions.
Swiping left or right doesn't do anything and now my weather complications wont populate again.

edit: It finally populated after about a half hour. Not sure if the brightness is changed enough. :(

I hope they bring the Dock back as those are the only apps I need and being forced to scroll is garbage. Watch OS 9 was just great, I Do Not need or Want iOS on my wrist.
I thought I'd miss the dock, but with the new version of apps display grid view in 10, putting all the most used apps at the top makes them much easier to access than the dock. The dock was somewhat cumbersome to use, and never really showed what was happening in the app.
