There is also a new "Nike Globe" watch face.

I just hope it makes Siri a little more usefull. Really annoying she only works within 6 feet of the phone, or 5 minutes after leaving to phone properly so LTE is fully engaged
Agree.

I often feel like such an idiot paying for watch eSIM and not getting anything from Siri despite having excellent full bars (cellular connection on AW).

Fingers crossed WatchOS 10 changes this somehow.

Ugh, I was constantly swiping between faces as an easy way to access different widgets quickly (first face simple with just the time, second face focused on activity/exercise with rings, workout, Runkeeper, etc.) Having to do a long press to change faces is killing me, completely destroyed how I interact with my watch.

I also wish I could change the swipe up from the bottom to bring up the control center again.

Call me koo-koo, but I still like my ancient iPhone X (works fine for me, size, screen etc). But apparently now I can’t update my watch S8 because I need ios17 (which no works on iPhone X). Anyone know of another method to update watch?
I guess you could pair it to a device that does run iOS 17 and then re-pair it to your iPhone X after your Watch is running WatchOS 10?

But I’d assume you can’t pair a Watch running WatchOS 10 to a iOS 16 iPhone? 🤷‍♂️

I still have the iPhone X so can’t update to iOS 17. When I try to update my Apple Watch it tells me to update my iPhone first. Is there any way around this?

so just installed, not seeing the Snoopy watch face, and is the new modular face the duo one?
never mind, took a few minutes to show up ...

My tides app in on the watch but no longer able to be selected as a complication on watch faces

It still appears on the faces I've created before the update but I cant add it to the new faces I create. It shows as blank in the watch faces edit page. If I change the complication where the tides complication is now, I'm afraid it will disappear from my current watch face and I wont be able to get it back.

Going to see if I can report this as a bug.

You'll need to upgrade your phone first to see the new watch faces. When that's done, you should see the new faces in the watch app on the phone in "Face Gallery --> New Watch Faces"

I was told by a developer that Apple deprecated a method of creating complications a couple of watchOS versions back, and with watchOS 10, this has been enforced. That MIGHT (and I'm not a developer) be what's going on here. If this is the case, the developer of your tides app might need to update to Apple's newer complications implementation in order to correct the problem.

One other thing you can try if you don't want to risk corrupting your current face is "cloning" the original face and using this clone as a guinea pig of sorts:

1. On the Watch app on the phone, tap the face you want to clone.
2. Tap the Share icon in the upper right of the screen (You are going to text the watch face to yourself).
3. Select "Messages" from the share sheet and enter your iPhone's phone number and then send.
4. Once the watch face shows up in your messages, tap it, and select "Add to My Faces."

You should have an exact copy of the watch face in question. You can try making changes to this copy and see if your tides app works without risking damage to the original.

Hope this helps!

If you are referring to night mode on watch faces, I believe you have the option of on, off or auto.

I'm installing it now.
I've not seen that option. At least not on WatchOs 9.6. My series 7 watch is usually so dim at night that I can barely read it. Can you point out where that option might be located? Thanks.

So, now that the crown pulls up widgets, how does that affect watch faces that previously used the crown? For example the Solar Dial lets you use the crown to see what position the sun will be in at various times, and the pride one spins the pattern.

Its part of the new OS 10 and specifically for two watch faces that are only on the Ultra. You wont find it on OS 9.6.

It seems you can still do so by clicking the watch face a random number of times to get it to be selected then turn the crown.

Quite like parts of WatchOS 10, but the interaction is a mess.
