Shall I prepare a new thread called

I'll give it a day or two 😉 did they replace your watch?

I was able to enjoy my replacement watch over the weekend. Not sure I want to risk it again.

I'll wait for a few more people posting successful updates.

Mine didn't brick after 5.1, but it would only charge the first time after restarting (e.g. you could charge it, wear it, and then it wouldn't charge until you restarted it again). They sent me a replacement which came today. That was after various restarts, resetting/erasing and restoring from backup and then resetting/erasing and setting up new.

Edit: The replacement Series 4came with 5.0. I am waiting a little while to update this time.

Yeah Apple, my Series 4 is still in the shop.... Sent it out last Thursday to get it fixed.

All I want out of a WatchOS update is the missing complications on Infograph (Messages, email). Screw providing an semi-infinite number of emojis, I simply couldn't care any less about those things.

Can we add Mail notifications to the "I cant believe that's not working" list please ?
I'll happily give up a load of emoji's for it to be fixed.

When checking for the update it says I'm not connected to the Internet! Rebooting my phone didn't work and neither did enabling Wi-Fi.

EDIT: Had to unlock the watch

S4 update from 5.1 to 5.1.1 successful .. y'all carry on
Same here. I did notice that tapping my nightstand to wake the screen (night stand mode) didn't work after the 5.1.1 update. A reboot fixed it. Now updating my Series 3.

::: fingers crossed :::

Got mine 30 minutes ago after bricked last tuesday and updated succesfully to 5.1.1. Btw it was extremely fast.
