Ok I have no idea how this happened but I have the ECG app after installing the update. I am in India and use India Apple ID. Before the update I changed the region to US and then ran the update. I took my first ECG yay. I am fine. I am fine.

Edit - I had only changed my watch region to US. Iphone region is still India.

There may be hope for us after all.

Just tried this and VPN while flicking back and forth between regions. No dice so far :(

Dammit. :-(

Im in the US. I have ios 12.1.1 on my iphone XR and 5.1.2 on the iwatch series 4.
I can't find the ECG app anywhere.

Where is it at?

everything good here, download/update in ~ 10-15 min, ECG app told me to setup via Health app on phone

Try opening the health app. For me the setup appeared in the health app and then I checked my watch.

So i downloaded the update and it says on the watch to hold your finger on the crown. I do this and nothing happens. I've kept my finger on over a minute now. I've restarted phone and watch and used different fingers. Anyone lese have this issue?

Just trying to understand this clearly guys(or girls).. (I’m currently waiting for my series4 delivery in Ireland- come on UPS!!)

Anyone outside the US try turning off location services (and reset location settings) using an American Apple ID, Region change on phone BEFORE updating the watch and still not working?

Maybe a VPN too? Can’t imagine what else apple would be doing to prevent it from showing up if all those things are in place. Unless something like using UUID to check device country registration or something insane like that...

Did you start the ECG app on the watch before touching the crown? You also need to set it up first in the Health app on the phone, birthday and so on.

Did that show automatically for you? My watch updated and I have the ECG app on it. But when I launch it, it says to setup from health app. When I open health app it does do anything.

Same here, I open the health app but no ecg setup. Tried a hard reset on watch and phone, still nothing...

I'm at work so don't have my watch charger here. My Health App on my iPhone region set to USA shows the ECG in the Heart section of Health Data. So there is hope that ECG will be enabled for those of us in Canada. I use a Canadian Apple ID but have all my devices region set to USA.
