If a person owns too many apl devices they spend an inordinate amount of time downloading and installing one fix after another for each of them. I wonder what the magic number is where it's impossible to keep all the devices up to date due to the time involved dealing with each one -----
You can always set your devices to update automatically over night when connected to a charger. No mess, no fuss.

I have been having this issue since they first released Watch iOS 7... thought it was just me since nothing had really shown up on the web about it... glad it was officially recognized and solved.

My girlfriend has an S3 and she was about to throw the Watch out the window because her watch kept rebooting after upgrading to WatchOS 7. I told her to wait sounded like a bug Apple would fix, and wait for an update. She was going to buy a new one. I'm glad they proved me right.

Finally - Apple really needs to work on their software testing process. I spent half a day on the phone with support trying to get this issue resolved and numerous other users sent their watches in only to have Apple send them back and tell the customer that nothing is wrong.

One of the few glitches I've been included in 'which impacts a small amount of users'... But this one has ben plaguing me multiple times a day. I look down and the Apple logo is glowing during a reboot, or I raise my wrist and it's locked... First world problems right? Just super annoying. Glad it was acknowledged and hopefully fixed. Otherwise, watchOS 7 breathed new life in to my S3 regarding speed. Here's hoping this also continues.

Glad to see the series 3 owners finally getting update to solve the problem.
I really hope that this fixes the issue that I'm seeing with my S3 watch. Thank god it's not randomly rebooting, but at the same time, three ****ing attempts at fixing a battery issue is really really sloppy work.

I have to say this, but Apple's quality issues are slipping. When Steve was still around this wouldn't take 3 tries. o_O:confused:

And how would you know the 3 attempts to fix this issue is really, really sloppy work? What qualifications do you have to make such a statement about software your aren’t privy to? I get the frustration. It was a bad bug. However, this kind of thing happens in the software business, and not just with Apple.

Interesting. I’m on the developer beta. 7.1 it is working flawlessly. They even fixed my unlock for my Mac, and I now have 15% battery at the end of 2 days where I used to be running dry by then. I wonder what apps or configurations caused the reboot. It’s always so weird “for some customers”) of which I’m almost never one
I was having the random reboot problem on my Watch series three. I installed the 7.1 beta 3 more than 72 hrs. ago. Not a single reboot or other problem since. I think I will stay with the beta until the final 7.1 is released. I also wonder what was fixed to resolve this issue.I can't help but think it might have something to do with handling switch off from wifi since my reboots almost always occurred while I was away from my home wifi. Not immediately after leaving home, but at some unpredictable period of time after I left.

Because it is. I've been in IT for nearly 25 years, 15 years as an Architect and manager.

If an issue or a bug took 3 goes at fixing it, AND it was something that my team was responsible for, then I'd say to the guys that reported to me to:

1. Stop telling me that it was fixed, until they were sure (and quantifiable by showing me before and after examples).
2. Stop saying to end users that it is fixed (see point 1.)

I'm not getting into a pissing argument with you about this.

This is a free site to express my thoughts on the topic. People have differing views to yours and mine - it's called free society.

Looks like the issue with Apps not installing on the Apple Watch after restoring from a backup (FB8805839) is showing as “Less than 10” people also having this issue. Promising, as I’m used to it saying no one else does, and then issues get fixed anyway..

I would regularly see the Workout app spin up. I’d try to play a playlist ... Music spins up. Then suddenlyWorkout starts spinning up. Press the crown then the clock app starts spinning up.
I’m within 48h of doing yet another unpair. Would be the second time. 1st was part of the GPS fix. 🤦‍♂️

Installed this morning and no reboots all day vs 2-3/day prior to update. Looks promising!

I use an Series 3 Apple Watch, i thought this was a bug when it happened to me, guess i was right.

While i didn't have it happen much, glad it was addressed.
(For once, i suffer an OS bug. I don't get those like most people do. just lucky i guess?)

No... you are not alone with this issue.
I too reported this to Apple and raised a topic here https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...d-on-watch-but-on-the-watch-they-are.2259900/
it’s infuriating having to use the watch to install apps as each and every time I am asked to insert the long apple password.
