No. I’ve restarted watch and restarted phone and still same thing. I tried downloading while wearing watch and I tried downloading while watch is on charger with same results. “No internet connection. Unable to verify update.”

I've had the random reboot problem replicate itself in a series 1, series 3, 2 different series 4, and now a series 5 (I bought just so I could add AppleCare+). Each software update fixes it only temporarily. I've done EVERYTHING including a complete wipe and setup as new of my iPhone before re-pairing watch. Temporary fixes at best. Problem always resurfaces within about 48 hours. Right now my series 4 just shows the Apple logo. I'm to the point that just the sight of the white Apple logo causes me frustration and disappointment. My Series 5 is on its way back to me from an AppleCare claim. They replaced it. Fully expecting it to replicate in this new watch. I basically wear an Apple Watch to maintain my watch tan line 😭

Video attached showing typical issue. Now it's to the point that I rarely see the watch face. It goes straight to Apple logo until the 10% battery notification pops up and shortly after watch dies.

Because it is. I've been in IT for nearly 25 years, 15 years as an Architect and manager.

If an issue or a bug took 3 goes at fixing it, AND it was something that my team was responsible for, then I'd say to the guys that reported to me to:

1. Stop telling me that it was fixed, until they were sure (and quantifiable by showing me before and after examples).
2. Stop saying to end users that it is fixed (see point 1.)

I'm not getting into a pissing argument with you about this.

This is a free site to express my thoughts on the topic. People have differing views to yours and mine - it's called free society.

Look at the release notes, none of them claimed to have fixed the reboot issue until this update which is specific to the Series 3. You’re argument would be valid, but it is built on a false premises.

7.0.2 claimed to solve the higher battery drain, but my watch ran out of battery between yesterday afternoon and this morning. It usually lasts about 36 hours (in Theater mode).
Hopefully they solve this non-sense once and for all.

And where’s the fix for the missing gps data? I’ve paid over 800$ for my watch and one of its basic functions is missing. For almost 2 months!!! Literally disgusting and disrespectful towards the customer.

I installed last night on my S3 and so far no reboots. I had been having about 3-4 per day since the previous update.

I am still getting the same error and I tried on a different wifi. I believe in the past it would download the update and then install once you put on a charger. Is that still the case?

I have this boot loop issue on my Series 4 and brand new series 6. I noticed it starting on one of the last iOS 13 updates. My watches are both completely unusable because it will just boot loop until it dies. Can’t even check the time. I have an open case with an Apple Advisor who side loaded some diagnostic tool onto my series 6. I won’t hear back from him until Wednesday where homework will pull the data logs from my watch. I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue. I will keep everyone updated with what Apple tells me if you would like.

Have you found something specific that makes it enter the boot loop? I notice it the most when I try to voice dictate a reply to a text. However, sometimes I’m standing still and it will reboot. Other times I will take it off the charger and it will start rebooting.

Any temporary fixes that you have found?

Apple today released watchOS 7.0.3, the third update to the watchOS 7 operating system that was released in September. watchOS 7.0.3 comes a week after the release of watchOS 7.0.2, a bug fix update that addressed battery drain.

‌‌watchOS 7.0.3 can be downloaded for free through the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone by going to General > Software Update. To install the new software, the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50 percent battery, it needs to be placed on a charger, and it needs to be in range of the ‌‌‌iPhone‌‌‌.

Today's update is available only for the Apple Watch Series 3, and customers with other Apple Watch models will not see the update. watchOS 7.0.3 fixes the random reboots that Apple Watch Series 3 owners have been experiencing. From Apple's release notes:For details on everything that's new in ‌watchOS 7‌, make sure to check out our watchOS 7 roundup.

The update to watchOS 7.0.3 is not available. When I try to update, I am told that watchOS 7.0.2 is up to date.

This update was only made available to S3 Apple Watches. What model Apple Watch do you have?

I'm glad for the S3 owners but it is frustrating that this implies either Apple doesn't believe there is a more general issue with WatchOS 7 currently or are just not talking about it.

As a first time Apple Watch owner who experienced the device first stop updating the brightness (was stuck on dim) then freeze totally when I went into settings and tried varying the brightness there on the first day / first seven hours of usage my mindset is return for a refund whilst I'm in the window of opportunity.

As a long term Apple consumer I know they don't acknowledge bugs until they have a solution but the lack of knowing they are working on it and indeed are targeting a specific point release for a fix means I don't want to roll the dice on keeping my AW beyond the return period on the off chance it is 100% a software issue and they'll work it out.

A shame because if it was a more solid experience I'm finally sold on AW.

[edit] fwiw I had been listening to podcasts with my new Beats Flex earlier in the day (quite like these) so (BT --> AW freezes posts)++ perhaps?

is anyone experiencing the "now playing" feature not working since the update?
Mine wasn't working under 7.0.2 but it has been now with 7.0.3. I don't know if it will keep working or if 7.0.3 fixed anything about that, but that's my experience so far.

Mine has not been showing the correct time stamp for the song or movie I am watching in 7.0.3.

I also have also returned to the fairly bad battery life from 7.0.1.

Glad 7.0.3 fixed the restart issue, but I’m hoping 7.1 gets rid of the aforementioned issues.

Well, now I have a massive battery drain issue. I’m losing about 10%/hr doing nothing. I need a 7.0.4 update ASAP.

I’m still hoping for a 7.0.3 for the S6 Apple Watch to fix the exact same issues it did for the S3. I’m assuming that will be 7.1, though.

Gotta say WatchOS 7 has been fairly disappointing regarding bugs. iOS and iPadOS 14 have both been very solid, but WatchOS just seems rushed. Hopefully 7.1 is released soon.

The update seemed promising for the first few days, but my Series 3 is having the same issues again.

-consistently reboots throughout the day. The apple logo appears and then the watch requires to unlock it with passcode.
-activity widget says loading, but doesn’t load the data.
-seems to reboot more regularly when I’m on a run & using the exercise app.
-on the charger it usually just displays the apple logo, not the time or charging info.

I’ve never had any issues with my watch until 7.0 came out. Hoping Apple will continue to work on this issue, as it isn’t resolved yet.

Anyone else still having problems?

I’m still having problems with my S3 too.

Started a run with 40% battery yesterday; 27min later it was completely dead. It went from 10% to dead in about 30sec.

I did a complete erase and install (as a new device) last night, went to bed with somewhere around 40% battery (definitely above 30% because I didn’t get a charge reminder) and it died sometime overnight. And when I connected it to its charger, it started charging at 18%.

This is so frustrating. I don’t have a functioning watch anymore; it was great until WatchOS 7.

Mine shut down today but didn’t even restart. I must have held the power button and crown down for a minute to get it to turn back on. All I did was look at a text.
