I would just like to say, it doesn’t click nearly as loud after the update on iPhone 12 Pro ‼️(for now...)I hope the loud lock screen click gets fixed soon. It's very aggressive when my volume is on low. Let's add that in ladies 🤞🏽
Thanks! Updated my phone and it's fixed on my end too. Finally! It's fixed. I just tested it with a MagSafe case. After installing the case the lock sound is still normal.
Does anyone have any news on when/if Australia will have access to the ECG app? I heard that it hasn’t even been submitted to the TGA (=FDA, in Australia). Many of us down under bought Apple watches with this as a high priority feature & are feeling a little ripped off.
In its Black History Month announcement this morning, Apple has confirmed that iOS 14.4 and watchOS 7.3 will be released later today.

watchOS 7.3 expands the ECG app on the Apple Watch Series 4 and newer to Japan, Mayotte, Thailand, and the Philippines, while iOS 14.4 introduces a notification on iPhone 12 models with non-genuine cameras. Both software updates also add support for a new "Unity" watch face based on the Pan-African flag and contain several bug fixes.
iOS 14.4 Release Candidate notes:watchOS 7.3 Release Candidate notes:iPadOS 14.4 should be released later today as well. Apple typically releases software updates around 10 a.m. Pacific Time / 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

Does the iPod touch have access to the Phone app? Should it be called iPodOS instead?Funny cause they don't have the same feature-set.
I keep getting a error when I try to update my watch anyone else getting the same?
You don‘t get the dock or multitaskino in iOS. You don’t get App Gallery in iPadOS. Where you can place widget is different. Just to name a few. It’s absolutely no different from how things were done previously — most features available for both iPhone and iPad, some (like the Phone app) for iPhone only, and some (like non-accessibility cursor support) for iPad only. The only difference is the marketing name, which is why when iOS and “iPadOS” releases are published, their build numbers are identical and the releases happen at the same time. Sometimes Apple will release an update only for iPhone or iPad, but not both, if a bug is impacting specific device models, but surely you get the idea.
It makes no sense for iPadOS to be a separate OS from iOS at this time, for Apple or third-party developers. In the future that might change, but for the foreseeable future, it’d just be needless fragmentation.
Yeah, the only thing in common is the kernel, which is BSD-like Darwin. You also missed PodOS, and BridgeOS.ikr? It’s like saying, “iPadOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS are all exactly the same... if you exclude all the ares where they’re different.”![]()
Okay, and? They’re features that are switched off based on the device. They did this before iOS 13, too. “iPadOS” is a marketing name; it’s still iOS and will be for the foreseeable future for myriad reasons. You don‘t get the dock or multitaskino in iOS. “PodOS” doesn’t exist.Yeah, the only thing in common is the kernel, which is BSD-like Darwin. You also missed PodOS, and BridgeOS.
PodOS is running on HomePods. It’s a slimed down version from tvOS.“PodOS” doesn’t exist.
As an Engineer, I can tell you that they are different Operating Systems with mostly common API. Soon, macOS will share more of the same APIs, so you will claim there is no difference between macOS and iOS.Okay, and? They’re features that are switched off based on the device. I can tell you that as a developer, I’d have serious second thoughts about maintaining separate apps for iOS and “iPadOS.” But since iOS is still iOS, I just have to…publish my iOS app once. Just like before.
That’s called “audioOS” internally, or publicly “HomePod Software.”PodOS is running on HomePods. It’s a slimed down version from tvOS.
Yeah, you have no clue what you’re talking about, especially since I’d never claim what you said I would. As an Engineer, I can tell you that they are different Operating Systems with mostly common API.
