It seems you have gone with the mainstream media narrative, never listening or seeing what he said for yourself.
We can all kiss our freedom of speech, goodbye, soon. Can you please link me your video/audio proof of him saying this very thing?

That is not the mainstream media narrative, holy hell. This is how you continue to be duped by idiots like this, you're caught in a freaking mind lock where if you don't believe the alternative you must be a sheep...but in reality, you're being a sheep towing the line you're told! How are you missing this point? It's like the alternative music fans in the 90's who hated "mainstream music" because it was for mindless sheep...when in reality, they were being told to hate the mainstream music and doing as they were told (even though alternative was now mainstream).

Maybe the government should implement some sort of credit score type rating system but based on what you say and do online and let people vote or rate you. That way companies like facebook, youtube and google could look at that score and limit access to your content to only people with similar scores or not at all.

That sounds evil. No thanks.

I think most of us are aware that Alex Jones is a massive prick. But do we need Tim Cook to be the speech police? On one hand he espouses principles like privacy and how Apple won’t compromise itself even if it means law enforcement, for example, can’t get into a terrorist’s phone after murdering a bunch of people. A stance I agree with. But when it comes to an Alex Jones podcast, suddenly, big principles go out the window, nobody can handle the world without Daddy Cook setting the tone?

Come on.

There's a difference between allowing government entities to access private information wholesale and being in business with Alex Jones.

Feel free to continue to listen to Jones on other platforms. The fact that you have the option to do so suggests that arguments that this is censorship are pretty stupid.

Shining the light on it is not the same as giving it a platform.

Yes. That wasn’t the point. The issue is taking a big principled stance on one thing and folding like a cheap suit on another. Privacy is a principle. So is free speech.

The fact that content continues to be available on platform B doesn’t suddenly redefine to something else platform A’s act of censoring said content. It’s still censorship. You can agree with it and support it, as you plainly do, but quit pretending it’s something other than what it is.

EDIT: Nice silly jab about “continuining to listen” to his shows. I never have. Infowars has been on the web for a long time. So have I. Wasn’t interested then either, even before Papa Cook decided to show us all the light about what’s good and bad.

No, being a massive prick is fine...being Alex Jones is not.

Apple will not compromise itself for law enforcement by providing a backdoor because it would likely lead to total and complete compromise of all its users, globally, even for the bad guys. Apple is protecting privacy here. Alex Jones could put all the conspiracy he wants in his Notes app.

Censorship, curation, whatever. If I want to see Alex Jones, I know where to go. https://blogs.findlaw.com/injured/2...e-alex-jones-and-infowars-for-defamation.html

Being purged by Big Tech is the strongest possible indicator of one’s threat to the oligarchy.

This whole mess is about Alex Jones pointing out that Apple/Facebook/Google are all deeply in bed with the U.S. national security state, and that they are falling over themselves to get into bed with the Chinese internal security state.

This isn’t about hate speech. This is about Alex Jones posing a threat to Apple’s future profits.

And those of you prattling on about hate speech and feeling so virtuous... You’re being used, like tools. And in 99% of the cases here, you’ve never listened to him once. Not even for a second.

Meanwhile, teenagers everywhere are checking out “this Alex Jones guy they don’t want us to listen to.” And then, when they realize he’s actually pretty tame, they move on to the hard stuff.

Poor dumb Apple. You became the establishment. Unfortunately, you’re about as good at playing the establishment game as you are at updating the Mac Mini.

I find Jones to be a bit of a troll, but it boggles my mind that so many are ok with what happened to him. A lot of the people praising his ban are also same people who are very vocal when it comes to defending net neutrality. There's gonna be a lot of upset folks once these corporations start silencing everyone, no matter the race, religion, political affiliation, or opinion.

Like the saying goes: You've made your bed, now lie in it.

I don't care that you don't think it's the point. It's not the point *you* agree with, so it's not the point. Who cares? You either straight up don't understand the difference or purposely don't want to understand the difference. No one "folded" on Jones. They decided to remove the cesspool from their networks.

You don't understand what free speech is, that's not on anyone else.

If it's in fact available via choice, that's not censorship. It doesn't matter that you don't understand what censorship is, or are pretending not to know. Stamping your feet repeatedly and insisting it's a 1A issue won't make it so, which is probably why you keep stamping your feet. No one's buying.

I have listened to virtually everything Jones has to say. I love arguing with his listeners, they're so mind controlled by the conspiracy bug it's hilarious. Of course, they call me the sheep...sort of like you're doing here. The threat to the oligarchy, hahahaha

Wait a minute, do you have a fundamental misunderstanding about what net neutrality is? Because that statement tells me that you do.

I've come to the conclusion that the folks arguing stuff like this, and that Jones being removed is a direct blow to freedom of speech are the real crisis actors.

I would rather be right wing and know about all the worlds problems where as the left all they wanna do is be a snowflake its becoming a horrible world shame apple has joined this virus infowars says a lot of good things
What problems exactly are you going to learn about from infowars?! Seriously, it’s just a bunch of BS propaganda.

One and the same.

I’m not sure why you’re trying to sell me on a stance I said I agree with. Yes, they have a principled stance on privacy. They do not have one on free speech.
