Question: how can you tell what format the content comes in? As soon as the ‘open/play’ button is there you can no longer see if it’s HD, 4K, Atmos etc? Only the quality of the streaming version.
This library bug has plagued me for years and is Terrifying.Ever since I was bitten by the library bug, I tried contacting MacRumors and 9to5Mac to try and give it some more attention in the hope it'd be fixed. Apple's engineering department just told me to use the iTunes apps...
The fix similarly didn't get any press either, but it was a VERY welcome surprise to me when I downloaded tvOS 17.1 and everything appeared.![]()
There isn’t one, use Cheapcharts as that’s so much better anyway.what about the wish list option? that was the only reason I hated using the tv app to buy from.
You need to scroll down a bit further to How To Watch and select your preferred option.Maybe I’m not understanding it correct, but the new UI has the channels/apps at the bottom of the main menu that presumably are integrated with Apple TV. If that is the case, then why when I go to PBS Kids it has all the shows, nicely laid out, but opening an episode to play wants me to buy the episode or open it on Amazon Prime? I have the PBS Kids tv app, their interface stinks and yet I’m still forced to use it because Apple says that I must pay to view.
I do not understand how this is better. If it’s supposed to be like this for some way it just doesn’t make sense.
I disagree -- just by the reviews one can find hidden gems that you might want to buy. So yes, I find them useful. It is OK to have an opinion, but expecting other people to value that opinion is a lesson in futility.
Their movies and TV shows aren't. Unfortunately. If they ever turn off the authorization servers, my collection is about worth the cost of the individual bits on disk. (nothing in other words) I would be so ticked off I would never buy anything Apple ever again.iTunes music is DRM free
So the app is still needed, but for just Music and Ringtones, nothing else, AFAICT.Is there any reason to keep the iTunes Store app anymore or should we just delete it now?
Could you imagine the uproar caused if they just removed them without telling people it’s all in the tv app now.I wonder how long until Apple removes the non-functional standalone iTunes TV and iTunes Movies apps in tvOS. I’m surprised it wasn’t yesterday once tvOS 17.2 was released.
This is my issue/question as well. I am unable to tell what movies are available in 4K anymore...Question: how can you tell what format the content comes in? As soon as the ‘open/play’ button is there you can no longer see if it’s HD, 4K, Atmos etc? Only the quality of the streaming version.
Why can’t they move all the features over to the TV app? How do I contact Apple to raise these concerns?
Good point I can see no way to view all movies. Surely they will reduce sales on iTunes if this keeps up?So parts of the re-design I can work with.... but within AppleTV+ app, within either the Movies or TV Shows portions, I am only seeing the top rated Movies/TV Shows.... Did Apple forget to add a link for all Movies/TV Shows available to Browse Thru? Am I missing this??
You can probably use search? (Can't you? I haven't tried)Good point I can see no way to view all movies. Surely they will reduce sales on iTunes if this keeps up?
I’d say they’re out in front of Google if this is anything to go by.The Movie Store is behind Google now so how can they justify it? All to push Apple TV maybe they don’t want you owning movies?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, use CheapCharts.Good point I can see no way to view all movies. Surely they will reduce sales on iTunes if this keeps up?
