Phone calls and SMS can also be used to plan illegal acts of violence. So again, interesting precedent.
However you can’t publicly recruit thousands of random people to join you in your illegal activities with those two things. And if the carriers of those communications knew what they were being used for, they’d likely terminate service for those clients as well. But telecoms don’t listen in on phone calls or read your texts. Nice try though.

Not saying he's not. A world leader can still get banned, but they have different rules for that. Threats of war against another country are evidently not ban material because they believe there's value to the public in leaving them up.

What about declaring wanting to scrub an entire race from the face of the planet? Are we saying that Trump violated some rule that could incite violence while Kim Jong Un wanting to nuke us doesn’t cross any line? If you support this live you’re short sighted. Can only imagine the outrage if Pelosi or AOC were banned. If Omar is still there then the bias is pretty obvious.

If Pelosi or AOC incited a seditious insurrection that resulted in unlawful breach of a federal building and led to the deaths of 5 people, then yes I would expect them to be banned.

Democrats are not the party of double standards; that’s the GOP.

Yeah I do, the Supreme Court upheld it:

Plus this became a thing because he openly stated why he didn't want to do business with them. He'd have been on stronger standing had he simply refused service with no explanation.
Oh good to know. Thanks for the info. :)
So I would expect no more complaints from people being denied of service because they are (fill in a sob story here). :D

It was a show. He made "peace treaties" between countries that were never at war and were de facto allies. But people think all Arab countries are enemies of Israel. And I can't blame the average American for not knowing much about the UAE and Bahrain either.

I'm also not even going to get into what deals he cut with Turkey.
It’s not a show. Declaring a new capitol of Israel was a big step. It was big enough fir every dem to complain what they could about it. The declarations by Arab countries is huge. Big enough another guy couldn’t do it in 40yrs there. It’s a stepping stone and a process to bring others in. With four signed countries it can grow. It’s a monumental feat. Don’t forget stepping down on NK that sent our POW’s remains home, stopping foreign flow to Iran cranking up their inflation, exiting the climate deal that cost a ton and did nothing, scrubbed ISIS from the maps, lowered illegal immigration by making Mexico get more involved, and being the only president since the 90s that hasn’t started a war... oh and that impossible vaccine that wouldn’t happen for 3 or 4yrs that’s already being rolled out by the millions that people are still finding something to complain about.

It was peaceful (in spite of people illegally carrying weapons, stockpiling bombs, etc) until they went through the barricades and entered the Capitol. Then it became an illegal insurrection.

How many of the BLM protests stormed State or Federal Capitols?
The damage done (yes, illegally) in the BLM protests come under State laws (damage to property, arson, etc).
The damage done in the Capitol invasion comes under Federal laws.

People are having a hard time telling the difference between the two.

In both your examples some of the protesters crossed the line big time, committed illegal acts, and people died. These are crimes, and I assume will be punished accordingly. But are you seriously trying to say that the one is so horrible because it was on federal property, but the latter was ok because it is on state property? If so, you are trying very hard to justify why it’s unacceptable for a Republican to suggest people protest, but a Democrat can do so no problem.

Debates on forums such as this are usually pointless. Because people make such extreme, damning statements... and if you point on that the other party has done the same exact actions... people just either ignore it or find some stretch rationalization to justify it. And I’m getting real tired of seeing democrats saying Trunp should stop whining and accept defeat. Because while I actually agree with that... I watched the Democrats lose the first G.W. Bush election, and refuse to accept defeat. I watched them lose the second G.W. Bush election, and refuse to accept defeat. And I watched them lose Trump’s first election, and refuse to accept defeat. Nancy Pelosi just spent the last four years refusing to accept Trump as president. :-/

Let's compare it too bakers and their refusal to bake wedding cakes for a gay couple.
I would be willing to bet alot of $$$, that the same people in here cheering the loudest in support of Apple's "right to do business with whomever they want" were overflowing with self righteous indignation over the baker exercising the same right.

I think from the sound of it. parler should've just pretended that they are trying some kind of moderation. eg. Facebook and the likes claimed moderation, but reality said otherwise, but they're safe since they claimed they have some sort of moderation.

Of course this will go against parler's own claim for their services. But they should just developed a web app to begin with.
Actually, they did.

"Your response also references a moderation plan 'for the time being,' which does not meet the ongoing requirements" in the App Store's guidelines, Apple wrote. "While there is no perfect system to prevent all dangerous or hateful user content, apps are required to have robust content moderation plans in place to proactively and effectively address these issues. A temporary 'task force' is not a sufficient response given the widespread proliferation of harmful content."

Yea, maybe jokers was a bad choice. But still, hardly an attempt to seize control of the government.
Not to seize the govt, It was an attempt by trump to stay in power against the majority of Americans. Yeah, zero chance of success but that's how delusional it was.

"Mike Pence is a traitor who should be put against the wall" -> this is an incitement to violence.
That's the problem right here. You're choosing to decide that statement is intended to incite violence. People speak figuratively all the time. That is why censorship fails, because not you nor anyone else is capable of wielding it in a responsible manner.

Again, Apple can give up their position as sole gatekeeper of iOS apps, and do whatever they want then.

Really? Because they have it on video folks looking for Pence and Pelosi to hang and cut off their head respectively. So that's 2 and 3 from the succession leaving Donald.

Are you effing kidding me? They wanted to kill the VP, the Speaker of the House so that a lame duck president could remain in office!!! That is EXACTLY TRYING TO SEIZE CONTROL OF THE GOVERNMENT.
You say THEY like it was the entire crowd, like everyone was carrying guns and bombs. I dunno, thats like saying BLM protestors were all out there to cause damage and loot.

Anyways, i'm not for any of it happening or trying to downplay the crimes, just the way I see it.

The Trump phenomenon is not a political one but rather an economic one. And in that regard many are victims. I feel that what Michael Moore said about Trump long ago is enlightening in regards to who supports him.

I think many non Americans are looking at you guys, saying ‘72 million STILL voted for him. WTF?’

This clip explains a lot.

This is not even close to the same thing. Apple removing an app that doesn’t meet App Store guidelines is not the same as the Supreme Court rubber-stamping discrimination against LGBT Americans.

Argue better.

"Whether or not that is true"

We know its not. It was investigated, over 60 court cases were dismissed, by judges the republicans (and Trump) put in their seats no less. IF after all that you still feel there is fraud then you are either stupid, gullible or mentally ill.

The evidence is also all publicly available.

What is your point though? Let people vent. Let them have their fifteen minutes to complain, and then move on. Democrats challenged G.W. Bush’s first election in court, and lost. They never accepted it. To this day I still occasionally see the “Elect Al Gore... Again” bumper stickers. Democrats didn’t accept his re-election four years later. They didn’t accept when Trump won four years ago. So what’s your point exactly? There are people on every single election that dispute the outcome. Without exception.
And does it not bother you that your Democrats, now that they are going to be in the uncommon position of controlling the House, Senate, and Presidency.. are not interested in planning their agendas and moving the country forward? They would rather waste their energy in a guy that won’t even be in the picture in two weeks. That should tell you a lot. News flash to them: the country is very divided right now. Maybe the smarter thing would be to try to unite it... by moving forward, laying out their agenda, and telling us what they plan to do. A pointless fight like they are doing will not heal the country.

You could be right. My take is Trump wanted to stay being president by having the votes sent back too the states. But his MAGA followers wanted to hang Congress.
