Apple Rep says " No iphone Pre-order with family plan"

I called an Apple rep. He advised me that in the training he received that they will not be able to take pre-orders for people with a family plan. He said he believes this to also be the case on apple.com as well.

If this is the case I will really be upset. 😡

The only place you can get a white iPhone 4 at launch will be apple. the closest apple store to me is 4 hours away.

This really suck's if this is true.

My God. Are you sure you really called an apple rep. This just sounds made up to piss people off. There are so many people on family plan who are going to preorder how could they afford not to allow it.

I can understand some concerns like account swaps, shipping info, and how preorders work due to lack of information on it, but this takes the cake. 😕

Oh this one made me laugh.

The family plan only affects the pooled minutes and possible pooled data/messaging. Other than that each phone is on it's own contract. There's no reason for anyone to care and they would be screwing a huge amount of their customers.

I called 1-800-MYA-PPLE spoke with a rep named Chris. I have the white iphone 3G, I have never pre-ordered before. so I called to make sure everything would go smoothly. what I posted is what he advised me.

If you dont believe me please call yourself.

I am on a family plan and am an authorized user on the account. I want the white iphone 4 in 32GB. Cant go to AT&T, they told me that they will only be getting black iphone 4 at launch.

I hope the apple rep that told me this is dead wrong.

He told me also that they will start taking phone orders at 7:00am Est. he did not know about when apple.com would start.
