"We expect to sell zero 14 minis because we aren't making any"Would they actually say "we expect it to sell less than the 13..."?
Is this what counts as news now?
lol

I think the iPhone 14 is going to be 1st fail for an iPhone.
Reasons: Old SOC, no latest display cutouts, no 120hz refresh rate which even low end androids have, no USB-C. Apple can’t keep the carrot dangling forever. Something’s gotta give in.
iPhone Pro is a fake product line created to drum up prices.
The iPhone 14 lineup may outsell the iPhone 13 lineup, but the iPhone 14 specifically will most definitely not outsell the iPhone 13.
You seem to be missing the point. No one denies that a singular generational upgrade is very incremental. The point is there doesn’t even seem to be an incremental upgrade from 13>14. So why would an iPhone 11 user pay more money for a 14 over a 13?The target customer is someone with an iPhone 11 or earlier, not an iPhone 13. By that comparison, the 14 will be a substantial upgrade by every measure
"Fake product line". LoL. Sounds like your a bit cash strapped
i'm itching for an upgrade but my 12 Pro Max hasn't let me down. the only thing concerning me is the battery which is at 93%. it seems to be going down much faster but even if it gets really bad i can just pay £70 for apple to put a new one in.
my AppleCare expires in November so i'm thinking maybe i should just get a 14 and keep that for 2 years. but at the same time i'm thinking i should just wait for the 15 lmao.
Why is the IPhone 12 nearing replacement? I think people are going to wait another year, at least. I'm an IPhone 11 Pro user on original battery, BTW.Sadly this is the answer. Sad because network operators still have a strangehold on the phone market. This isn't the 60s, you don't have to buy the phone from AT&T any more than you have to buy your lights from the power company, I wish more people knew that.
The battery on the 12 mini is just dismal, and it has a resale value equaling that of a base 11. People eat through that battery on the 12 mini faster, because they're charging it all of the time. I'd look at another. The good news here is that after iPhone14’s formal announcement, iPhone12mini will likely have another price reduction and I’ll replace my iPhone7 with that. Looking forward to it. Absolutely no need for the 14, or even the 13, for my iPhone needs.
If the average consumer has an ounce of common sense, there is little reason to upgrade to an iPhone 14, let me be very specific, the 6.1" non-pro iPhone 14, if the rumors are true that it will be the smallest incremental improvement in iphone history. I have a 5.8" iPhone XS and have been putting off upgrading year after year, and was planning on upgrading this year, but I am now more likely to upgrade to an iPhone 13 or to hold out yet again for another 12 months. It is all about what % of the iPhone installed base is in the market for a new phone. Few who bought the iPhone 13 are going to go out and buy the iPhone 14
Love our "certain" you are about your non-quantitive, no analysis opinion
Tim Cook: "lol no, you get rehashed iPhone 13 design for new 14 instead"iPhone Mini, do not leave us. Please, please come back.
Exactly! Hard to believe I'm the only one holding back because of the USB-C.I don't think so. Most people will wait for 15 with USB-C.
Interesting, and I have found a few posts that reinforce that. However, I’ve got three 12 mini’s among friends and family all of whom are experiencing no problems whatever with their batteries. Looks like the results are mixed. The battery on the 12 mini is just dismal, and it has a resale value equaling that of a base 11. People eat through that battery on the 12 mini faster, because they're charging it all of the time. I'd look at another.
IMO, most people don't care about USB-c.I don't think so. Most people will wait for 15 with USB-C.
For you, it seems the iphone 14 offers little reason to upgrade. But me with my XS Max, there is a bit more than an incremental upgrade that would entice me to upgrade. Of course, it's plain common sense, the longer one holds off on upgrade the more features/functions that are built into the phone. If the average consumer has an ounce of common sense, there is little reason to upgrade to an iPhone 14, let me be very specific, the 6.1" non-pro iPhone 14, if the rumors are true that it will be the smallest incremental improvement in iphone history. I'm not going to refuse to buy without USB-C if something else I wanted like AoD came, but I would definitely buy if the only change was USB-CExactly! Hard to believe I'm the only one holding back because of the USB-C.
15 with USB-C is going to be sales boom.
