Nothing new here. Tim has always said they are working on a lot of stuff that may never come to fruition.

With Apple’s such secrecy Level, Tim Cook should run his own country at this point. This way the secrecy culture can be enforced by law enforcement rather than going through hoops.

Gee. Surprise. A large technology company has an advanced R&D team.
I'm shocked.
I’m curious…is someone inside Apple leaking this to Gurman? Kinda pathetic if so. I mean it would be shocking if Apple didn’t have highly secretive R&D teams working on stuff that may or may not make it to market.

Apparently, someone didn’t watch (and you should ASAP). Anyway, totally gives me DEVS vibes!!!

Sarcastic responses aside, this actually is a big deal. I seem to recall Steve Jobs saying something along the lines of "someone will always be coming along to put you out of business - it might as well be you." A huge number of companies get caught up in focusing on their current successes and see new ideas as either direct threats to that business to be suppresseed, or at least as distractions that reduce profits. Look at Intel.

"Apple's secret design group is so secret, let me tell you what they're working on..."

OK

Secretive 'Startup' Team?

An entire legion of my best geniuses are working on them

Oh..I'm afraid the Reality Ultra will be quite operational when your friends arrive, with their wallets.

My sources tell me that Apple has a particle accelerator under their campus and is developing portable nuclear power systems for their mobile devices. My sources don't have a very good track record, though.

I really wish Apple would poor a few hundred million (the loose change in Tim's couch) into getting deep into a REAL AI rather than the personal assistant crap that is Siri and most other takes on the tech. I want something that works better than the crappy human intelligence we're currently saddled with.
Sure. The current Siri is not smart, she doesn’t have AI or use ML. She’s as clueless the 1000th or the first request you make.

Imagine Apple builds a complete model around your life and Siri knows things before you know them. Then we wouldn’t be stuck with crappy HomeKit, Focus modes, a subpar calendar or Maps that wants to send me 2000km for grocery shopping. To name a few.

I'd be scared if they didn't have one. Lol. We won't have the iPhone for the next 20 years. It will be replaced with something else...at least I hope.
