You make it seems as though Apple doesn't want to offer their Apple Card in other countries such as the UK and across Europe. Maybe its the case that no financial institution in the UK/Europe wants to give Apple the sweet one-sided deal Goldman Sachs gave Apple.
I agree. For anyone wanting Apple Card in those areas, their banks won’t allow it.

A lot of the things that Apple don't roll out to places like the UK simply mean people just find alternatives. When Apple Card and Apple Cash were announced I was well up for getting them. then they didn't release them in the UK so I just got something else. I'm not alone.

If it comes to the UK I'm not sure I would bother getting it now. It would have to offer something way above what I have now, and I just don't see that. In the US, they have, what, 5% cashback on Dunkin' Donuts or whatever? In the UK they would probably have Costa Coffee or Caffè Nero, but those things are always on offer, so Apple Card/Cash don't offer anything different. They'll probably have almost-useless once-in-a-lifetime tie-ins with places like key cutting shops, or hot air balloon ride experiences.

I love Chase. Been using them for years. I have four cards with them, with a total credit limit of $106K. No issues with Chase whatsoever since getting my first card with them in 2013.

My current "primary" card is the Chase IHG card, which gets me points for stays at IHG hotels and special perks for staying at their hotels. I really enjoy the early check in feature, which I've used to check in as early as 9am! The free upgrades feature is nice too.

I have had a few instances where I needed to dispute a charge and Chase has been EXCELLENT to deal with.

The credit cards have been great, to be fair. I love getting Southwest RapidRewards with the Chase card. But their debit card chargeback procedures have been very annoying for me, even worse than Wells Fargo.

I see. Well, I don't even use a debit card, or even carry one in my wallet. I see zero reason to use one. They seem like a big pain in the ass, and offer so much less protection and benefits than a credit card.

I have the SW card too but don't use it much after getting the bonus and using up those points (;

As for WF? Scumbags.

Sounds like more trouble than it is worth. Apple Pay is not even supported in India. It is all about QR-Codes, which you cannot use as a foreigner either (at least this was my impression visiting India in December)

Not sure what's the "trouble" you're referring to? QR Codes exist because they are accessible to a much broader group of devices and people than NFC/tap-to-pay tech. You don't need to use a QR code necessarily, can even use someone's phone number or their UPI VPA (Unified Payments Interface, the payment system and Virtual Payment Address, like an e-mail address). Apple basically needs to work to accommodate the country's laws and regulations which IMO are far better (requiring SMS TOTPs for transactions, centralized mandates for recurring payments etc). Apple Pay is also mentioned as one of the things they're planning to bring. They are partnering with HDFC Bank based on the news, which is one of the leading banks here and have a good platform for UPI and Credit Cards already.

There's a new mandate that allows UPI with prepaid wallets which is now accessible to visitors, available at the major airports now. I do confess I wish this were even easier than having to do stuff at the airport but one step at a time I guess.

That all aside, the current state of payments in the Apple ecosystem here in India is terrible. Mainly for app store purchases—there's only the UPI option since they had to pull credit cards due to being non-compliant with rules like recurring mandates. I hope they are working to bring this back because it's very inconvenient and not a good ROI for me to make payments through UPI at present. (Fun fact: UPI now supports India's own RuPay payment processor like Visa and MasterCard, but I'm not yet able to use cards added to UPI for making app store payments). Same is the case when I tried to purchase a developer membership, I could only do this via UPI. So, here's hoping this changes all that and we get full credit card support once again.

Another thing I wonder is how Apple Card is going to compete here. We have other co-branded credit cards like the Axis Samsung card but a lot of other premium credit cards from banks are also available which gives way more rewards than even these co-branded ones. So, is Apple Card going to follow the same route? If yes, then it's not really worth it.

I think Apple should make some kind of special "one more thing" event where they announce Apple Card in multiple countries. It would be nice if everyone could have it at the same time, albeit later than the US.

This might be too difficult. Payments is tough, even doing just for a single country. If Apple can work with a partnership like Uber did with Stripe, maybe there's hope but otherwise I think they'll continue to slow rollout.

I am for instant bank to bank transfers without these card scammers. They are taking percentages from every payment you receive. What for ? Paying this fee should be on me as a payer.

Lots of people marked my post with a Disagree reaction. I'd love to know why.

Don't you want Apple Card and / or Apple Cash in the UK?

India, meh
Give it to us in the UK please. That and Apple Cash.

/edit - I'm intrigued to know why so many people are selecting 'disagree' on this post. Don't you want Apple Card and Apple Cash in the UK?

Maybe there is more of a market for credit in India, a lot of people may not have access to good credit and it is an opportunity to address the well-off segment of Indian society. It’s an interesting move, for sure.

I’m sure he can finance his fancy couch drivers seat on roof of car vehicle thing with another card.

It would have to offer something way above what I have now,

Credit cards are tailored to customer priorities. One may want cash back, another free hotel stays, etc. Where the Apple card excels is when you make Apple purchases. 12 months financing with 0% interest, 3% back on Apple purchases. All of my Apple purchases go on my Apple card to get those benefits. All other purchases go on another card which has excellent travel rewards.
