...and yet ZERO improvements to Fitness+ itself. I submitted 'wishes' right after introduction for:

1. Ability to create your own sets of workouts by bookmarking workouts that you like to do in sequence (with folders within the bookmarks)

2. Ability to search / filter workouts by body part emphasized. E.g., I just killed my quads in HITT ... so for strength training I want anything upper body....no more squats please.

3. Related to 1 and 2... when Fitness+ suggests "you might like this workout" ... the logic is usually lost on me. If I do a sequence that includes a HIIT leg workout... then, suggest a substitute leg workout... not a random workout with the same music style.

Etc.
Totally agree with you on #2….my biggest gripe: even in the ‘reviews‘ you can’t really tell what exercises you’ll be doing! Still, after using Fitness since day one I give them an ‘A’ overall.

Fitness apps are a joke. In my day when I was growing up we didn't have the internet, cable TV, or even VCRs. If someone wanted to exercise they went outside and found something to do whether it was walk, run, ride a REAL bicycle, or whatever. If you lounged around the house too long vegetating, my mom would put you to work cleaning house or make you go outside and do something. And if you needed to have someone yell instructions at you to keep you motivated you joined the military. People now a days are too damn lazy to even try to figure out anything on their own. They have to have an app to show them how to exercise or diet, and/or they buy into those useless snake-oil supplements. Just get off your backside and go do something. Find a workout buddy and go to a REAL gym. Quite living off of fast, greasy drive-through restaurant food. It isn't rocket science after all...
So…..I guess no one is walking outside, running, using a ’real ‘ gym once in a while and also using Fitness for home/ rainy days (COVID?) AND following a proper diet? We all so bad……..

Thanks for the reply, I take advantage of your experience.... Is it possible to start a workout and then the one with the AW leaves the house and the other continues?
My guess would be that once the watch that started the workout disconnects, it will stop the workout.

mmm no, I mean the contrary, I want to start a workout for another person and then leave the room/house and that person should be able to continue without me
Also, you can download workouts...not sure if the 'watch ' has to be present for the downloads to work as I haven't tried it....

You mean like 'sharing ' your Netflix Subscription ?????
No. I don't share any Subscription.
I mean: I want to know if a family member can also use Fitness+ without an Apple Watch on my AppleTV in my home, when I start a workout for him and then I go away, can he continue his training or does Fitness+ stop?

I was half joking. What I would try is downloading one to an iPad or iPhone and see if that works. Don't know if they will download to the Apple TV ? It downloads games so probably worth a try.

I just tried a downloaded one...appears that you do need the watch. Sorry.
OK thank you so much! ;)
I'll try maybe doing a subscription but not having an AppleTV yet I don't want then the behavior is different than on the iPhone...
However, Apple could meet the needs of families by not expecting every member to also have an apple watch.

Hey...also check on the Apple Support Communities (which I haven't ) as they may offer some other options or a means that has escaped people on this forum. All in all though my view of Fitness is that its very worth it AND they keep adding functions/improving the application. There is also a continuous thread or two here on Macrumors.
