I reckon a apple food/nutrition app makes lots of sense, and would be a sensible next step from their fitness app. Im not too keen on a grocery delivery experience, but some kind of weekly video recipe guide + generated shopping list would be cool. Im imagining similar to apple fitness, different food styles, guest chefs, some kind of interactive video experience with cooking timers, automatic logging of calories in health app etc

This could get very dangerous for those without a good understanding of finances.
It could also save people money. If they just pay off the phone monthly interest free, they can choose any budget pre-paid phone and data plan they want, instead of getting an expensive post-paid plan with a phone which is the norm right now.

This is as bad as the Apple TV service.
Most companies that go woke, go broke, or at least have it affect their bottom line. Apple is too big for this to affect them, so Apple is flexing their wokeness, without any accountability.

Fitness apps are a joke. In my day when I was growing up we didn't have the internet, cable TV, or even VCRs. If someone wanted to exercise they went outside and found something to do whether it was walk, run, ride a REAL bicycle, or whatever. If you lounged around the house too long vegetating, my mom would put you to work cleaning house or make you go outside and do something. And if you needed to have someone yell instructions at you to keep you motivated you joined the military. People now a days are too damn lazy to even try to figure out anything on their own. They have to have an app to show them how to exercise or diet, and/or they buy into those useless snake-oil supplements. Just get off your backside and go do something. Find a workout buddy and go to a REAL gym. Quite living off of fast, greasy drive-through restaurant food. It isn't rocket science after all...
OK boomer. Why are you even on the internet? Wouldn't it be better to just stand on the corner and shout your opinions at random people, like the good old days?

So they will food shop for you for a fee and put the nutritional value into the health app? Trying to understand the idea about this.
It's dangerous as there is no "one-size fits all" nutrition diet. Each person has to have a personalized diet or you can harm someone's body.

If Apple does release nutrition, then it'll be with huge legal disclaimers.

I suspect there’s a lot of kinks that need to be worked out before a program like this really becomes ‘live’, mainly pricing structure and I also imagine the services will be rather limited at first, but will continue to grow depending on the popularity.

I’m not interested as of yet, but that’s subject to change easily pending what’s offered and to what specific markets.

I find this "fat shaming" interesting.

A cancer charity put out a add and included things that increased the chances of getting cancer, over weight was one of them, but of course, some people actually complained.

I’m okay with some fat shaming as it gets people of their arse and do something to get healthy, in much the same way you are told not to play chicken on roads

Yep, people should stop with body shaming in favor of tolerating people for being obese/overweight. There's no good come from obesity, it's a ticking time bomb waiting to explode in our body causing nasty diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular complications.

Anything tells or yells me to be more active, get off the couch and enjoy the outdoor move is a great thing, period.

Alright already. We’ll get off your lawn. 🤪

Totally agree that it would be nice to customize an Apple One subscription. Like many here, I have no interest in Apple Arcade, and wish Apple News was an option in some of the lower priced bundles.

It's essentially the same as a credit card but with longer 0% interest time period...
AAAnd here comes the fat shaming By apple. Because everyone has to be beautiful acording to apple’s specifications..
This is really getting out of hand that as a people, we're no longer accepting of any feedback be it good or bad anymore that we're willing to accept dangerous lifestyle instead.

Apple is planning to introduce several improvements for Apple Fitness+ and Apple Pay this year, and has explored offering an all-new groceries service that integrates with the Health app, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Gurman outlined his expectations for new Apple services this year. Two finance-related Apple services are purportedly in development, including a hardware supscription program and a "buy now, pay later" service for Apple Pay transactions, designed to allow customers to pay for Apple Pay purchases in installments over time, rivalling existing services like Klarna.

Last month, Gurman explained that the hardware subscription program would allow customers to pay a monthly fee and gain access to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac for the duration of the subscription. Apple is said to be aiming to make the process of buying an iPhone or an iPad "on par" with purchasing iCloud storage or paying for an Apple Music subscription, with customers able to subscribe to hardware with their Apple ID and App Store account.

The service is rumored to be Apple's "biggest push yet" into recurring sales, and while it has been working on hardware subscriptions for months, it was apparently pushed back to focus on the "buy now, pay later" Apple Pay service. Gurman claims that Apple is working to implement hardware subscriptions by the end of 2022, but it potentially could be delayed to 2023 or canceled entirely.

Moreover, Apple is reportedly planning to add new workout types to Apple Fitness+ with iOS 16 later this year. In addition, Apple is said to have explored offering an "Instacart-like service that integrates with nutrition data in the Health app." Gurman noted that the service sounds potentially complex to implement and "fairly low-margin." He added that he is also hoping for substantial upgrades to Apple TV+ this year.

Expansion of Apple's range of services have been a topic of speculation for some analysts, with Loup Ventures suggesting that Apple could offer "Podcasts+," "Stocks+," "Mail+," and "Health+" in the future.

Yeah, I'll stick with my Whoop band. Apple's execution on Apple Watch just doesn't compare.

I predict that apple will roll out enticing new features under this scheme and then gradually reduce what you get as standard on your iphone without heading for the subscription based approach. At that point you'll be forced to either accept a very much reduced iphone experience or buy your phone on subscription which is great if you remain employed but not so good when you lose your job. I buy my phones outright and get a cheap sim only contract. if they stop providing the full current functionality (at the very least) without subscriptions I will stop buying iphones.

Thatll be the subscription to add to your furniture, car, netlfix, spotify, sky etc. leaving you with a sliver of your earnings left.

The one service I want is “Books+”. An audiobooks service to rival Audible. I hate having to give Amazon money but I do appreciate the credit based audio subscription service

I don't know what your physical appearance is......maybe, from your post you should focus on your "inner specifications"....

Nah, but if you've got a BMI over 30 it's a medical condition defined by the ICD-10. Nothing to be ashamed of but something to be treated.

Something kind of like eEmeals. I use that. I get bunch of recipes each week to choose from. I can add them to a list and then send my shopping list to the Walmart app, or other stores, for a grocery pickup.

Is there a way to also get a child to workout with Fitness+ on Apple TV without also having an Apple Watch?
I think they'd have to do the workout along with someone who has an Apple Watch. That's what my son does. My 12 year old has an Apple Watch and can use AF+ fine, but my 9 year old just does the workouts along with us.

Thanks for the reply, I take advantage of your experience.... Is it possible to start a workout and then the one with the AW leaves the house and the other continues?

1) Allow Health Kit on the iPad. Very difficult to workout using Apple Fitness+ with an iPhone 12 mini.
2) More filter choices within Apple Fitness+. People choose a cycle class based on how they are feeling at that time. Some days you want HIITs and hills ride, other days you want a low-impact ride. Pelaton excels at the filter options.
I started by using Fitness on my tv and now use it on the iPad exclusively…..what’s the problem? Been using Fitness on the iPad (2017 pro) for years.
