Restarting iPhone X production means customers want the superior Qualcomm vs Intel modem and Samsung vs LG OLED display and without the excessively greedy iPhone Xs markup.
LMAO I purchased iPhone X (smuggled piece with Qualcomm modem) from a local shop for roughly $650 because Apple was selling Intel modem Iphone X. Surprisingly, they (Apple Support) will honor warranty on my phone from the date of activation.

If Apple is more arrogant with prices, grey market will get a strong boost.

App Dev perspective here:

Regarding the iPhone XR rumor, many don't know this, but AAPL has ONLY two major iPhone "strongholds" OUTSIDE the States, Japan & the U.K. ... AAPL appears to have lost Japan !

To understand the iPhone X rumor, some background is needed ... the XS & XS Max are 4 GB iPhones, but because of Smart HDR, act like 3 GB iPhones when using the camera.

Likewise, the XR is a 3 GB iPhone, but because of Smart HDR, acts like a 2 GB iPhone when using the camera ... and it's something we first discovered on Oct 27th, & clearly something we we'e NOT expecting !

Neither the 7+, 8+, OR X, AAPL's other 3 GB iPhones, support Smart HDR or anything similar, & as such, they ALL act like true 3 GB iPhones.

Smart HDR is enabled when capturing Photos, as well as when capturing Burst Photos & making Videos when the capture rate is 30 fps or less.

Smart HDR is a differentiated product attribute that AAPL simply Dropped the Ball On ... it's similar to how AAPL Dropped the Ball with the Intro of Wide Color, & this is very-likely one of the primary Reasons the iPhone XR has NOT gotten Off the Ground.

In other words, AAPL, for whatever reason, failed to properly promote the HDR technology.

Stated differently, on this subject, AAPL's Marketing Dept failed them, & failed them badly !

It is ALSO our very strong opinion that AAPL should have put 4 GB of DRAM in the iPhone XR ... to us, that would have made it a compelling upgrade to many iPhone Users.

And BTW, since October 26th, we've been doing 50% of our Software Development on our XR iPhones, & the other 50% on our 7+ iPhones ... OUTSIDE of the UN-expected XR "Camera HDR Memory Hog" issue, we have NO complaints with the XR.

Bingo, this is why I paid the discounted battery price and am hanging on to my 7 plus for another year or two. A friend of mine opted for the 8 plus rather than the X for the same reason. BTW didn't know that subsidized phones will affect house buying in the Netherlands.

It affects the hight of the mortgage, if you have a subsidised phone and the amount per month is more than about €25 you can get less money for your mortgage.
I think that's a good idea, lets say you do this for an extended period, lets say 10 years, 12X50X10, it's a substantial amount.

Things they need to cut the price of everywhere:

iPhone XS
iPhone XS Max
iPhone XR
iMac
MacBook Pro
MacBook
MacBook Air
Mac Mini
iPad Pro
iPad Air
iPad
AirPods
Apple Watch
Memory Upgrades
Apple Pencil

EDIT: Forgot about the Apple HomePod.

What did I miss?
[doublepost=1542958277][/doublepost]MAC PRO 2013! Should be $999 starting price!

Those new products are very nice but those prices are INSANE.

I just don't get Apple now a days. They expect you to pay 1k for an iPad (that will be outdated next year) that you cannot even plug anything into yet? SMH

Here in the Netherlands you'll be registered for having an outstanding loan if you buy a subsidized phone, making iPhones way less attractive for people who want to buy a house as the registration will cut thousands of euros from your maximum mortgage and will increase your rent. Just putting down € 1500 at once for a phone is not something a person does every day.

Wow, I didn't know that. I'm freelance over here and looking to buy early next year. Thankfully I picked up my XS outright in Singapore so saved a few euros :)

In India, the iPhone XS and Max costs more than most people's a full year salary. How Apple thinks to tackle India market?

If you consider the Minimum Wages people, then sort of yes.

India has over 1b people and not all of them are poor. Apple also doesn’t make just the XS.
True, but it seems Apple has lost its plot in India. Depending on whether they feel Bullish about the market or want to give up, a similar approach will have to be taken in India too.

I actually believe we are at the very start of a tech slow down in profits and huge stock market fear. This is not Apples fault as such, just that their business model suffers during depressions. The XR is an odd model to release too, the Japanese are notorious for very different buying trends. Some products are massive there, while never even being released anywhere else. I wouldn't be surprised if the XR is a flop initially but a slow burner. Part of the issue as mentioned is that previous models are still available at cheaper prices with better value. Android still has its issues and is fragmented as ever, prices for competing models are very competitive though no one is making any profits on them.

Nice idea; I used to think along the same line.
But found out that mass providers like Apple rather spend 1/2 an hour to worship new customers than 1/2 a second to existing customers - let alone to reward them. Instead, the strategy is to suck every penny out of them w/o spending any time
That's why Apple has the lowest customer satisfaction rates in the industry.... oh wait, they have the highest....

I think it’s a good news. Was gutted the IPhone X was off the market. Some how I’m happy my favourite company is struggling. Too much focus on creating more and mo emojis and making their products more expensive.

Its hard to see a point in getting 1000-1200,- worth of phone.
Better camera? Well still not better than my old Cannon G12. Which I use when need really good pictures.

Better processor? 50% quicker? What for? Games?- it became impossible to find a descent game that would not be “pay- to play”. Got normal console- buy a game- enjoy endless hours of good gaming. Apple developers became insanely greedy.

Face ID? Yeah baby, you can send live emojis to your boss. Month later you’ll forget you have that.

Smaller with bigger screen- yes this is a good one.

Did I miss anything?

As a matter of fact they have both.
That has more to do with product failure rate and a smart strategy of doing consequent business online, keeping human intervention to the minimum.
Customer satisfaction rates on Helpdesk & Services are far worse than you seem to think.
Many people here had to threaten to bring Apple to court for repairs, as they were to evade EU regulation on 2 yr min. warrantee.
This is such an elementary bad business practice that it puts the company as a whole to shame.
I don’t know if they are led by prehistoric autocrats from times there was no regulation, or have contempt for anything remotely resembling a customer, but the effect is strikingly similar.
But this probably doesn’t fit your (single-sided/selective) oneliner story, so let go.

You can't just make things up to win an argument.

Well, obviously you can try, but everything you just posted above is not true.

Apple is tops in product satisfaction and customer support satisfaction.

As I stated, doesn’t fit your story and you’re unable to look further than your own microcosmos.
Why do you base your opinion on absurdities?

Why don't they make an SE 2 instead of the X? People with money to buy an X, and that want that type of form factor and design, can easily afford the XS. This article makes it sound like its panic time at Apple HQ.

It's funny that you keep getting caught lying and editing your posts after the fact!
:D:D:D
Sure. Wired, SlashDot, ArsTechnica, ZDNet are all lying - as only triggerhappy @tromboneaholic (who discovered fake news media back in 2013) has the truth:

The European Commission is frustrated that its member states have on the most part failed to take action against Apple for flouting EU law, and warns that enforcement must be actioned in order to protect the rights of ordinary citizens.

From the article: 'The warranty conditions have been changed and these changes can be found on the website of Apple. Products that are purchased on the website of the manufacturer or in stores are now under warranty for two years, as it is required by the EU warranty guidelines. However, the warranty for Apple products that have been purchased elsewhere will not change and they will only be given a limited one-year warranty.'"

Apple has the highest "customer satisfaction rates" worldwide.

Government regulation is not the same as customer satisfaction.

Wow, Apples share price down 24% in just over a month - a big ouch.
Is it time to buy in I wonder...

I seriously can't tell if you are trolling or just have an agenda.

You keep shifting like a flag blowing in the wind while editing your posts when you are caught lying, and conflating EU regulation with customer satisfaction.
