Hey "buddy". Please keep up with the convo. The OP threw a comment in about Android not Samsung. You made it about Samsung. By the way which company takes 80% of the smartphone profits. Not the company that sells the number 1 phone. That what iphone users use to answer the diss about IOS.;)
What has 80% of profits got to do with calling someone?

Facetime is a lot easier for most normal people to use though.
How do "normal" people call someone with an Android phone? i. e. The majority of smartphone users?

A lot easier you say.. ok, let's test that theory, say I want to make a video call on Skype, I open Skype, Same as FaceTime, then I select the contact I want to call, same as FaceTime, then I press the video call button, same as FaceTime...the end.

So... unless you are talking complete Bs, can you explain how FaceTime IS A LOT EASIER to use than any other video calling app. Seems to me that it is basically EXACTLY THE SAME!!

You obviously don't have an iPhone if you think both experiences are the same.

For starters, if Skype doesn't work, who are you going to call for tech support?

I'll assume that as you have side tracked.the question so nicely you have no answer as to how a simple 3 stage process can be made a lot easier. It works the same on WhatsApp, and the same on vyber and the same on FB messenger!! So your only comeback is what happens when it doesn't work... Skype has more users than FaceTime, I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing to create a seamless experience. I use Skype for business on my work iMac every day, even tho FaceTime is an option, why.. it works on every computer in the world, where as the FaceTime experience.as you describe it only works on 1 in 10!! So... I'll ask again, I don't want any BS, how is FaceTime a lot easier to.use than Skype?

Why would Skype not work?

Dial the number?

See answer above. Video calling though adds a wrinkle as one has to choose their third party app of choice.

What wrinkles do Samsung Galaxy owners who wish to videocall each other have that iPhone users don't have? What 3rd party app do Samsung Galaxy users have to use to videocall each other?

You are repeating the same BS fella, dodging the simple question, making yourself look foolish . Please stop..... I'm getting worried that you can't see this...

it's interesting my basic question about technical support is so difficult to answer and provokes so much anger.

I will say it doesn't surprise me the same people who can't tell the difference between a price cut and a carrier subsidy think that finding, installing, and setting up a third party app is the same as using a fully integrated first party app.

Do you even know what's cellular video calling? It is built in video calling over 3g/4g network just like sms and normal phone call. Most phones (not just Samsung but even dumb phones) support this standard except iPhone.

People have been video calling each other over mobile phones long before iPhones come into existence. All this without installing software or using proprietary crippled FaceTime which can only be used to call iphones. So in conclusion, iPhone is just crap without support of this cellular video calling standard :p

But how are Samsung Galaxy users different to iPhone users in the respect? What 3rd party app do Galaxy owners need to install to videocall other Galaxy owners. And if I as Huawei user wanted to videocall a user of another brand of phone, we would just agree an app to use. What is difficult about that?
No more difficult that giving each other our phone numbers.

And which phones support it natively and more importantly, which phones support a group video chat natively? People have been video calling before android even came into existence as well, but apple has about the best implementation, imo.

I like my iPhone but that statement is complete BS IMHO. What is exactly easier on Facetime? On a video call changing the cameras? Or going into the list of recent Facetime call and trying to answer a audio with a video call?

Facetime was easy. As all the other apps like Vyber, Skype and WhatsApp. Now Apple has effed it up.

Plus Facetime falls apart when the connection is not very good while other apps like WhatsApp will still work.

Fixed in 12.1.1. 12.1 made a mess of the interface for no reason.

So anytime a manufacturer or engineering team makes either a mistake or crafts an interface one doesnt like I’m going to use your words: “incompetence”.:p

It certainly crafted an interface which is easier to use than the other communication apps. In fact, they made it worse compared to own previous versions. Changing the cameras is still a pain.
