New Apple TV would be welcomed-reluctant to replace my current 4th Gen as there is potential for a new model this year.

I'm still waiting for a 32 inch iMac. As nice as the Mac mini is, I don't want more stuff on my desk. I want a computer that's an all-in-one with a BIG screen that runs macOS.
I agree with you, but I think they are not coming. As, the cost of the screen is that high, it's better to sell the computer separately, so you can update it, as your screen lasts at least 12 years and that's at least 3 computer upgrades.

I wonder what all those people at Apple are doing. Delay after delay. Poor product after poor product. TC needs to get his ship in order. I’ve Been an Apple user since the LC11, but it’s all wearing thin.

If you've ever worked at a large tech company, you'll know that as organizations get larger, more and more processes and complexity seeps in.

I saw it happen both at HP and Nokia - creating products became harder and harder as every problem and issue was always solved by adding yet another process to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Heck, at Nokia they actually recognized that the process was becoming too heavy, but their solution was... to add another step into the process to "streamline the process", which actually made the process heavier, not lighter.

This is a very tricky problem to solve when a company reaches a workforce of tens of thousands of people.

If it stays 27" I finally got to look elsewhere.
Por qué no los dos?

I’d rather have two 27’’ displays than a larger 30’’ or 32’’ one. The latter make a lot of sense for people working in video editing and production, whereas the former are good enough for any graphic designer, office worker, etc.

Tim's looking really old in this shot. That 48mp camera on the iPhone 17 Pro is really picking up the wrinkles on his face and neck

I've been holding off upgrading a lot of my devices for specific refreshes. AppleTV with ray-tracing, MBP with double the CPU cores of the M1 Max.

I'm also interested in purchasing an affordable 32" Studio Display with HDR and a more affordable AVP option - if or whenever Apple decides to make such options available.

Well, at least we know the cameras are working.

Now... If they could just get rid of the camera bump...

I don’t reckon the technology on the current XDR will have a place in a world with large OLED panels. But maybe they’ll make a larger Studio Display-like product, perhaps with tandem OLED displays and an eye-watering price tag to match, and call it “XDR 2”, who knows…
And I'll probably be perfectly ok with that :D I didn't really want to spend what the XDR costs, but after trying several options I've decided to, only I'm not willing to drop that much on technology from 2019. (Studio display is too small for me).

Is the mac pro effectively dead?

according to the buyer's guide on this very site, the Mac Pro was last updated 833 days ago, while its average updating cycle is 938 days historically.

So no, probably not effectively dead.

TL;DR: the Mac Pro is a niche product that Apple generally updates only every 3-4 years

Why on earth would they put two cameras in an iPad? They just put a larger square sensor like they did on the iPhone and digitally crop it
iPad is a much larger device. this is not for selfies, this is for calls and meetings in different orientations
