NFS problem solved

... Despite the pesky network hanging problem I have I think SL is exactly as advertised. An optimization and refinement to a great OS with a few new features and new APIs. And I found Leopard to be much better than Tiger. Sure, I remember having some issues with NFS moving from Tiger to Leopard but nothing all that critical and some update fixed that.

And if anyone was wondering, I found a solution to the NFS problem. It turns out I had forgotten to bind the NFS server to a port and the firewall was causing a bit of trouble for the client  (the SL machine being client) (and yes, I upgraded the server's linux OS simultaneously with the SL install on my Mac Pro :D.. so some settings were screwed up). So I fixed my configuration at the server end and now my SL is trouble free .

Color management is more tricky under Snow Leopard.

Some applications simply stopped working, like X-Rite's Match 3.

They should fix the occasional beachballing that appears sometimes with extensive usage of the Language Input HUD, i.e. if I switch quickly between language inputs by using the HUD, I will occasionally get the beachball that lasts quite long... It gets quite annoying at times.

I want to see reliable, bootable, Windozable eSATA for JMicron, Silicon Image, and Marvell chipsets.

That's exactly why I don't think there will be a seed. That and Jobs might announce a SDK even though it's not WWDC.

Finally a seed. If there are there any secrets there I'm sure someone will find out soon.

You do know that the groups are split up into teams? Right?

Sure, but we don't know how the developers are assigned. If the tablet device (assuming it's real) will actually use OS X, it wouldn't be unusual for the OS developers to be in crash development mode to fix bugs. Remember when Leopard's release was delayed six months largely because software engineers were shifted to get the iPhone out?

I'm sure it was said Apple didn't really want to push testing on developers during the holiday season, that is why it has been a while for this seed to be released.
