Open Workout App on the Watch, press the little speech bubble with audio wave, tap “Workout Buddy”, flip the switch

tbh I think the vast majority of people in the world are tired of the endless performance and pushing themselves. The pace of modern life is constantly increasing and we're well on our way to the breaking point.
We don't need more rushing and doing in our lives, but quite the opposite - to slow down, to be more present, to connect with the living world around us. YMMV

However, I assume that it will be launched in other countries this year and that new Fitbit hardware (Fitbit Charge 7?) will also be released.
We will have to be patient.

iOS 27 will no longer include a long-rumored feature known as Apple Health+ inside Apple, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
Apple Health+ was supposed to be a virtual health coach that could give users AI-powered health recommendations in the Apple Health app, based on their personal health data, the report said. The feature would have provided users with detailed health reports, videos that explained medical conditions and offered wellness tips, and more.
"The major new service would have combined new surveys and health assessments with data from Apple Watches and external lab reports," the report added.
It is unclear if Apple Health+ would have been a paid subscription service.
The feature is being scaled back instead of outright canceled. The report said some of the components of Apple Health+, such as suggestions based on existing Health app data, will be "repurposed and introduced as early as this year."
Apple Health+ was initially rumored to be an iOS 26 feature, so it was seemingly in development for a long time. But now, only bits and pieces of it will launch.
Apple's services chief Eddy Cue is apparently "considering changes" to Apple Fitness+ as well, but the report did not provide any specific details.

Good riddance! I never asked for or needed my smart phone to be a "health coach". I just want my smartphone to do its basic tasks reliably, which it has done for the past several years. So many of the new and proposed new features seem to be change for change sake (Liquid Glass, I am speaking to you), potentially messing up an already mature and reliable device. Look at the mess that Microsoft has made with Windows 11. Does everybody need AI Co-Pilot to show up and try to take over almost everything, and look at the backlash that Microsoft is getting for this. I just don't want to see Apple go that route.

Cook wants so badly to be in the spotlight that he either announces or allows announcing things that are apparently not deliverable.

Ugg, this article isn't really saying anything. Repurposed into what? The same use case as was rumoured? Repurposed into the music app? To me it's not clear what's been said here.
The best interpretation here is some of the rumoured additional health features may be delayed. I don't think much else can be discerned from the information given. Everything else is just guessing as it wasn't clear how the service may come to begin with.

Exactly. In addition, with the complete failure of current food and health guidelines I would never trust AI for health anyway.
I wonder how long it will take the doctors and pharmaceutical companies to start paying the AI trainers to recommend certain medical and pharmaceutical solutions? This is the next wave of advertising.

I just want to be able to see and interact with my Health data on my Mac. After all, this is personal data about my own body, gathered using devices I paid for. And yet I can interact with it, minimally, on the smallest screens I own.
Reading rumors about this “premium” service, I’m starting to get the nasty suspicion they’re holding it back from the Mac because they know users would have an easier time digging their Health data out of Apple’s little sandbox on a more open platform like macOS.

Shocking, people are complaining about a rumor about a feature that hasn't even been released yet.
I wonder if the reception to the ChatGPT health features spooked them a bit on this, though I would trust my data in a PCC environment much more than whatever "HIPPA doesn't apply here" OpenAI.
I'm absolutely sure that that is what is behind this.
Shame, as I was looking forward to it.
Hopefully we will get some pretty 'broad brush' recommendations in Health that are more useful than we have now.

Much better daily fitness coaching please, as it's unchanged since 2017 or so.
And perhaps the report is alluding to Apple fixing the dichotomy between Fitness and Health as in:

If I have a Watch, can't Fitness be an extension in Health? Or is Fitness a thing just so that Fitness+ has somewhere to sit?
We can only hope.
Again, I get that using the still janky LLMs of today don't meet Apple's legal and quality bar.
However, Apple's general inability now to execute at a high level in its software and services is getting to be very concerning.
They give it to the Services division, who then flush most of it down the toilet.
Apple TV+ must cost a fortune.
Yes it produces great stuff - and I like a lot of it - but I am willing to bet a lot of money that it's a huge loss leader for Apple.
Why compete against HBO and Netflix (this is a question for Amazon Prime Video too)?
Fitness+ (which I like), Arcade, News... All I bet, run at a significant loss. Books might just break even as it's essentially unchanged from what they launched 10 years ago.
I'm willing to get a lot of money too, that it's only iCloud storage & ApplePay - and of course the App Store! - in the entire services division that make up over 90% of the quarterly revenue that the Services division brings in
Oh and they waste it on the Car - never launched.
And Vision Pro, which I bet cost billions to develop. All that to make the 3 people who didn't return their units, very satisfied customers.
