I turn off all the health stuff anyway. I don't trust apple to keep my health info secure.
I send feedback multiple times to require Face ID for health in settings. This is even before you could select apps to have Face ID. It’s wild they wouldn’t have this for health but wallet with HIPPA etc.

Nooo. I wanted this. This is a really great idea as long as it works well unlike the other one. coughs ChatGPT

Was not looking forward to this. So I am not going to miss it if it gets delayed. Don't want another subscription service. Besides not sure whether it would have been made available globally at launch.
Even if they did it, you don’t have have to get it. 😂

I just want to be able to see and interact with my Health data on my Mac. After all, this is personal data about my own body, gathered using devices I paid for. And yet I can interact with it, minimally, on the smallest screens I own.

Reading rumors about this “premium” service, I’m starting to get the nasty suspicion they’re holding it back from the Mac because they know users would have an easier time digging their Health data out of Apple’s little sandbox on a more open platform like macOS.
You just might have a point there...

Also, Apple's seeming inability to provide equivalent apps on all of its platforms in general, is grating.

Why don't we have Fitness app on the Mac? Why can't we run Fitness+ sessions from that device?

Why did we have to wait 2 years for Journal to appear on the Mac?

And if Apple feels able to let potentially highly personal data from Journals from the secure iOS platform onto the more open Mac, why won't it do the same for Health?

An AI coach might actually be worth it if the Apple Watch did basic things like rep counting, or if Apple Fitness had functions for basic fitness programs, like Weight x Sets x Reps tracking.
That would be fantastic. Calories, heart rate, etc. aren't really that important to me when I'm lifting, which is my favorite form of exercise.

But I wonder how Apple or any other wearable OEM could track it. I guess they could work with Weider and other machine manufacturers to embed sensors that track weight, reps, etc. and then send that Watch. I use only free weights, and I don't know how that could be tracked aside from a sensor and transmitter in every plate, dumbbell and bar that I own.

I mean, you could just put in the weight yourself. I already do that with apps like Jefit. But the reps can be tracked - even the range of motion on reps and the speed of your reps could be tracked for people that want it.

But right now, you can't even build a basic resistance program to manually track exercises, machines, weights, sets or reps. It's legitimately the most featureless fitness app available. Even MyFitnessPal has it for free.
