46 percent of this quarter sales where international, just wow... thats a statement in itself. people are loving macs overseas. a break down of sales by country would be nice to know.

If Apple keeps making us more money like this, we'll just have to keep on buying more and more of what hey give us.

Really impressed to see that iPod sales were up over the same quarter last year. I guess the new Nano really is that good.

Also very happy to see that the results were better than expectations, hence the stock is going up.

Can't wait for it to be back up in the $200 range again.

Wait... If my math is correct, this is the 1.21 gigadollars needed to travel through time! iPhone 3.0 feature?

Apple should focus more on expanding internationall where there's more room for growth than in the US.

What I would like to know is how many of the 2.2 million Macs sold last quarter were purchased by macrumors members. I personally account for 0.00009%, so I did my part.

Hmm, Mac sales were only down 3% despite all of the now obviously idiotic forecasts of doom and gloom. I guess they aren't so overpriced afterall....

They're (or should I say we're) mostly loving iPods and iPhones. The Macs are still a hard sell overseas, with market share in the low single digits.

Stock...

Every quarter is always a blowout quarter. But stock always drops because their guidance is so low (though false). So it'll probably drop a bit despite the news.

MS has a *very* strong hold on International sales. That is because MS is big and has others sell their **** for them (windows) where as Apple is small company that only sells thru their limited number of stores worldwide and online.

It be easier to become big in the US and let their weight in the US be the right leverage to go stronger over seas.

These results are so spectacular that MS should better fold its whole marketing campaign...it's useless...

I see that there are still no negative votes to the thread...so before any moronic PC fanboy does it, I might push that button first... ;)

Gotta keep in mind Apple sold X number of iPod Touches to the military. I'm guessing that helped the iPod sales.

In any case another good quarter for Apple..

I'm quite sure that X is merely a blip on the radar in relation to the overall ipods sold.

The overall market is down and the worse thing for PC makers is falling prices because of increasing amount of netbooks being sold.

Apple is KING in this industry right now. It is unbelievable how well this company continues to do. I'm still blown away by how thoroughly they stormed the mobile phone market, having never previously made a cell phone in their history, and now even the big boys in the cell industry are doing all they can to emulate them. Un-frackin-believable.

I'm breaking all the diversification rules with my IRA retirement account. I have over a quarter of my portfolio in Apple and they continue to keep me confident. I know emotion rules this stock price on a day to day basis, but in the long run they will rise with their success.

Solid work again.

But the stock is not gonna skyrocket tomorrow due to the low guidance. You bet.
