And yet, so so broke....

Because they have to charge for iPod firmware updates, and can't provide security updates for OS X for even five years without breaking the bank...

Poor Apple.. Can you spare a nickel?

Unable to meet iPhone 3GS demands:eek:. 3GS has yet to launch here. I hope they don't delay it anymore than the Aug projection. Can't wait any longer.

Kudos to Steve n team for keeping up apple's unbeleivable record of continued growth even in these economic conditions. I'll keep on contributing my small bit by buying macs and iPhones only for my corresponding needs as long as possible. :)

The results are very good. I think that with the whole "original iPods" line is eventually going to be phased out. First the iPod Classic. The reason I think it will be the Classic is because 1) it has poor sales 2) it is hard to find the 1.8" drives now. Eventually Apple will make it so all of the iPods have some sort of touch screen.

It was always doubtful, but now it really looks like its ********.

Can't wait until Apple's numbers are posted on sites like Neowin, while they're busy trying to confirm "Windows 7 family pack rumours" or the latest "MSN revamp." ROFL.

The only time I ever hear about them is when I read articles about Apple wanting them to be removed

Hell, if Apple had just stayed out, I am not sure a good many who read about it would have even known
Very likely, it was purely fabricated fantasy all along.

All for profits friend! Glorious stock prices!
Not quite true:

It turns out Apple didn’t have much of a choice about charging for the iPod touch January software update, according to analysts familiar with accounting regulations.

“It’s an accounting requirement that if you upgrade a device that’s not on a subscription, you have to charge.”

You can tell the reduced prices on those macbooks are really hurting them ;)

Apple, your customer base is expanding. Now you just need to branch out and start catching some other market segments.

Does anyone have the backbone to ask, "why wasn't AT&T ready with MMS and Tethering?"

Also, someone please ask about the Apple TV:p

Yet that doesn't seem to stop other manufacturers from issuing upgrades to software or hardware for free.

$4.99 for every OS X update now? The EFI 3.0 Gbps update should have required a fee? Apple stepped itself into a gray they could have easily avoided.

is Steve talking?

I'm reading at work since my company cant afford computers with Quicktime or will allow Quicktime on them.

Q: Do you still feel the lower price PC business model is not attractive?

Apple COO Tim Cook said:
Our goal is not to build the most computers, but to build the best. We don't see a way to build a great product for this $399, $499 - this kind of price point

EVERYBODY GOT THAT???
