I would love to see them create a dockable system again. I loved the concept behind the Duo, and that form factor - dare I say "paradigm?" - is becoming very popular again.

Are we at a point where we could see the end of the hard drive - spinning platter - iPod? Have SSDs come down in price enough to be viable?

I'm not going to criticize anyone who wants more in the Pro Desktop line. The machines they offer are unbelievably powerful, to me, better than some servers, but I realize that some people want/need more. But consider this: I work with a a guy who does .NET development. He bought a Core i7 27" iMac (no screen issues at all) with 8 GB of RAM so he could run VMWare Fusion and do his dev work on a Mac. He's not the only colleague I know to have bought a Mac and done the same thing. So don't discount the iMac, especially the i7 model.

I guess you've been ironic . Those iMacs are toys for kids, I couldn't use one of those bloody things to do graphics with their infamous yellow screens.

Buy a mac pro? Or if the screen is your only issue with the iMac use an external monitor for manipulating the graphics (anyone you choose) and use the "childrens" screen to look at your mail.

I get the feeling you may be more of a troll than a pro since you do not seem to have put a lot of thought into what it is you need and how to achieve it.

I have that feeling too...

Down the line, we are talking about a $200 iPad. Maybe a large and small format size...maybe...but they all play on the same platform.

What about an iPad revision in September/October with the OS 4.1 and front facing camera since it looks like it might be included with the new iPhone? The new iPhone gets the A4 underclocked, the revised iPad gets a little speed/RAM boost?

While the iPhone is not a killer Xmas product like the iPod was (because of the contract obligation), the iPad is. I see an iPad 1.1 with camera and selling for $100 less like the killer gift for Xmas... What do you guys think?

Touch screen iMacs

I don't think a touch screen iMac would work. I tried out that HP (I think) touch screen thing, and it's not natural or friendly to use. For very short interactions it's not bad, like using an ATM. But for long use I don't think so. You have to have a remote device or a laptop style device for touch to be effective. Just my opinion.

Several new products?

OK so, iPhone 4g, iPod Touch 4g, MB, iMac with touch screen, cinema display, MacPro and then?

You'd think Apple, of all companies, would at least be able to afford some decent audio quality for a live stream. I mean, please; this is unacceptable.

Works just fine for me, any higher quality would be a waste of bandwidth. Plus the weak link in the chain is probably the actual conf. call itself, not the stream.

With the exception of the conference moderator, it seems fine/good to me.

Fair enough, but I'd have expected for something they should be so proud of, a little more polish could be in order? I dunno, just me.

Very impressive numbers, though.

These conference calls are still done via POTS where the analysts call into a phone exchange. That’s why it sounds so horrible.

I don’t think they’ll be moving to Skype or iChat anytime soon. :D

"VERY confident about our new product pipeline and VERY excited about whats to come"

SWEET! Going to be a good year for AAPL!

I agree - then some of us cheap buyers can get some action! lol

Assuming you would buy more than 1 or 2 shares, you may as well buy now.

For example, $500 worth of Apple stock is $500 worth of Apple stock whether it gets you 2 shares or 8. If you think it's a good investment, you're only hurting yourself by waiting.

WHAT??? No one asked about the leaked iPhone????

Of course not. First off, they would ignore the question or say something like no comment. Second, whichever firm is represented by that caller would most likely never be invited to listen in again. Third, that person would get some sort of letter in their HR file or be canned.

Just my guess, but I can't be too far off.

It would be nice if they invest more money on making better professional desktop computers as they used to, instead of concentrating in devices only.:(

Yes, they should stop spending money developing all these products that are making them a fortune.
