Mac sales dropped from 5.7 million to 4.9 million. That is 14% decline. WOW. That is huge. The iPhone drop is tiny by comparison. A drop of 14% in one of your core products - your most expensive product! Amazing.

Apple still doing great. Just saturating a market. 200 billion in cash! Open more research facilities outside the US since too costly to bring it here. Wow.

What about Apple Watch sales, which are somewhere in the "other" category, and according to another article, down 40% since last year.

I think what is significant could be the "services" category. Revenues from "services" are growing. That's some easy money, and it's proof of the healthy ecosystem that Apple has cultivated with Music and Movies and Apple Pay - Check out how many Billions of dollars are pulled in from "services". Then compare to any other company out there.

The growth in "services" revenue is significant! Standby for the phone conference - I bet they talk about this.

The mac is still outdoing the iPad regardless of lack of updates XD

We have an iPad pro and an original iPad and use them both. The problem with iPad is that it's good enough to just keep using it for what it does and "who cares" about fancy new one's when the old one's are built so well. Hard to justify a new iPad for most folks when they already have a few that work just fine.

In a nutshell - iPad has a longer re-buy cycle.

astonishing figures..

What an incredibly successful company. Even when the product cycle is at a low ebb, and full-year profit is down, they remain super profitable..

Can you imagine what Apple's figures would look like if they listened to customers, updated everything on their product line, and increase the base storage on every product..?! Their profits would go supersonic!!!!

Lotsa money, but still more than 10% down from last year. If that becomes a traditional decline in sales then its something to worry about for them. With Apples shift of focus to fashion products and phones, this might be the beginning of a negative ripple effect. But time will tell. Personally I dont find Apple to be the company that once kept mesmerizing me with stuff I wanted to buy. Today, less and less of their products appeal to me. (thats after owning an apple watch, all the iphones, all the ipads, imac and all the macbooks). It will be a long time before I buy more Apple products.

Last quarter we saw where Macs brought in more revenue than iPads. Fast-forward to this quarter and the Mac accounts for 3% more revenue than the iPad. LONG LIVE THE MAC!

It's better than expectation with old products. No new Mac mini, no new Mac pros, no new iPad Air, no new iPad mini, no new iPod, no new Apple TV, no new Apple TV services, no new features on Apple watch, no new iMacs... What all Apple employees have done for a year is building the spaceship, expanding showrooms, and making new watch bands.
Oh come on - new new features on Apple Watch? Are you on autopilot?
