I don’t get why Facebook is crying over this. They’re still advertising to people right? It just won’t be personalized anymore. Plus, I’ve legit never bought anything that was advertised to me

You might not have even realised it was advertised to you ;) That's the sneakiest kind.

It's like watching a wresting match "live"

Its not like Apple isn't giving these services an option not to track... Their just jumping the gun.

It's amazing what a popup will do :)

Someone please clarify this for me, it says that Facebook will track you across "Websites and apps". I get that they will know what I am doing in their app but will they be able to see what is in my email, my Safari browsing, my Apple TV, YouTube watch history, SMS?!

Is this like an iOS system wide cookie? I got same message installing YouTube app.
It’s called the Facebook Pixel which allows me to see where people are visiting and converting. The pixel has different parts of code depending what you are tracking.

I have a small music business and basically the idea is I am finding my audience through targeted ads with a free download of a few tracks of my music if they sign up on my email list. From there I get to know them better, build a relationship and if they are into the music and culture I get a new collector fan. I also run like ads and occasionally video view ads to build a warm audience.

While I applaud this and I’m on Apple’s side it will be interesting to see how much more difficult trying to find my target audience will be as more people opt out of tracking. As with all things business I’ll have to just adopt, adapt, and improve.
