I’m not at all a pro, but in the “Lair” when the CPU guy was talking, he seemed too far away, I couldn’t really see anything.
I agree. It may have been shot on iPhone, but it definitely wasn't designed to be watched on iPhone, but on a big screen... I watched it on my 13 Mini, and several times things just felt too small. Also, the part about the new black colour was quite poor, I didn't get a sense at all about how it actually looks, it was just black on black. Most of the time I was annoyed about the gimmicky "at night" settings, and knowing that they probably did it to "show off" the iPhone's low-light capabilities just makes it that more annoying. They sacrificed the best possible presentation of the new Macs, to be able to show off "shot on iPhone". And what's the point? It would have been cheaper to use proper cameras and good lighting, than all the gear they were throwing at iPhones to make it work. No professional will ever use it this way unless being paid by Apple.

Ah, the reason why it was so short...the battery died after using 4K Log Files. Clear battery drainer.

I'M JOKING... I did have a feeling this was shot using 15 Pro / ProMax. Of course mixed with with other accessories, post editing.
Or it was so short because ProRes ate up so much space that the 1TB iPhone ran out of storage

(jks I know they didnt store it on device and recorded to an external drive via USB C)

That’s an interesting observation. During the presentation, I actually thought “token-this,
token-that” quite often. It’s almost like a current Disney movie.
Interesting thing is, I think it says a lot about society that anyone even notices it. I can honestly, with no hypocrisy, say that I never think about whether the person is white, black, man, woman, gay or straight, until I see comments about it afterwards. I simply don't care, it's not why I watch it. I also can't tell you if Tim Cooks shoes were white or black. It matters just as little.

I was genuienly surprised.
I know they have incredibly expensive equipment and skilled professionals at hand...but still...
Very impressive.

The subscription window pops up every time for me, is the legacy version the only way to make it go away? I didn't know Legacy existed until your posts, it just caught me off guard too.

Filmic is already a pain in the ass. I find using the regular camera app instead because of stunts like that, or weird quirks like I suddenly can't offload video, so I had not opened it in ages.
The original Filmic app I had did that...suddenly popped up the "subscription" model. (eye roll)
I deleted THAT app...the older previous version (called "legacy") showed up in the App Store

Yeah, the moment i saw it i knew something was off. The optics is still not there....and it cannot be, for optics that small. You cannot beat the law of physics... you can just cheat with post processing tricks. And i work in movies so have seen a lot of footage (raw and edited).
You can change the law of physics, if it is Apple Physics.
