best LCD EVER IN A SMARTPHONE (NOT even 1080p) ! it might be yea, but apple is the greediest company, even cheap android plastic bombers from china come with an oled. Hello Tim it's 2018 and it's a f**** 750$ device, penny pinching on point
Well over an 8+, it's smaller, lighter, and has a much bigger screen, along with a faster processor. Seems like every bit of an improvement as the X was over the 7+, but quite a bit cheaper. If it was released at the same time, I'd get this over the Max. FaceID alone is just so much better than touch ID, especially when using gloves or having wet or dirty fingers. I've come to hate touch ID on my work 7.
iPhone XS:
Smaller, Thinner, Lighter
$1000
iPhone XR:
Bigger, Thicker, Heavier
$750
Agree. Tim Cook, as you said, priority is the investor not the customers who buy the products. This is very clear to anyone.
And don't forget, as Apple has, the mac mini with 4 year old specs selling at new prices.
. FaceID is not better than touchID. What if you don’t want to unlock the phone but just look at notifcations?.

Why would anyone get the XS instead of this? Aren’t they virtually the same except for the screen resolution?
You are completely wrong. It's obvious R stands for Retina for that high end 6.1' display modelled to please Apple board members retinas of average age of 60+
All joking aside XR sounds more flagship than Xs but more importantly I think they have got themselves pinned into the corner with the naming. What comes after Xs? X1? X11? XI? 11?

It's not the best LCD ever but I'm sure it will perform better than X/Xs OLED display which has really hard time making white pure white unless you crank up the brightness to eye bleeding levels. Have you ever seen RGB bleed in X bezels? That's a bonus to get trippy real quick.
Apple is really out to lunch on this pricing - but you can't blame them - if people were 'happy' to pay $999 why not push it to $1100
