This is the problem with AR/VR. It's a novelty at best but apple is trying to so hard to make it not. The office/FaceTime scenarios were so cringeworthy to watch.

This is one aspect apple blows away the competition on. The magnetic interchangeable lenses will be gamechanging for VR vision correction.

This is laying the groundwork for something big. Think glasses in 5-7 years that you wear most of the day. Items you look at at the store will have reviews pop up, HUD while driving, Health information while working out, the ability to zoom with your eyes, etc etc.

Yeah people often don't realize how product development works, you remember the first iPhone and iPad? A lot of skeptical comments as well and we all know how it ended up.

This will be very similar, AR/VR is emerging and coming, Apple did a really good job of building some of the foundations and this is solid for generation 1. I agree the Glasses are at least 3-4 years away, probably more.
