No vr experiences that’s shame and no full vr games, this means mega quest is still king for gaming, this is cool but I wanted a full vr experience

Yeah sure Apple. A DJ will definitely prefer to use his virtual decks/controller instead of interacting 100% with people. This presentation is a crossover episode. I can’t even LOL.

Has ANYONE in this forum ever used VR before like Meta Quest? I have, and I promise you, you'll buy it and use it a few times for the coolness factor, and then put it down and never touch it again. This doesn't add any benefit besides maybe watching a movie alone once in a while and playing a game here and there.

Watching movies on the plane is probably the coolest thing.

Who's going to use Adobe Lightroom on this??? 😂

I am buying Vision Pro!! The presentation is not over yet and I have thought of at least 10 ways this will improve my work and life. I am all in! They have not announced the price or power source and how long it lasts before recharging. Nonetheless, I am buying at launch. Lord, please let it be affordable for me and a long-lasting power source!

To be fair and after reading all the comments. We’d all like to experience this device. We just wouldn’t pay for it? Is what I’m getting. We don’t see what the problem is to this solution?

Fair comment to say.

I already hate looking at my phone and have begun using it as a phone 90% of the time, and nothing else. I also enjoy communicating with and being present alongside other human beings.

Same. When I leave work I don't even want to see a screen. Not my phone, not a computer, sometimes not even my apple watch.

They're definitively positioning this as a premium / pro product. Not a consumer product; I'd be shocked if it's under $2k.

the ipadOS on screen and logitech keyboards are so **** they keep highlighting a bunch words and relpacing them with the next character I type when I'm typing fast and replacing them for no apparent reason. I'm putting money on the fact that the AR keyboard for this is even worse for fast typing, and just forget about touch typing.

intersting product, still waiting to see the killer app, and it's not Firmament from what the reviews are saying (sadly, Myst and RIven were amazing)

Ok, f*ck that brand. I'm done. I'll just spend 50% less for a faster, upgradable PC workstation and tim can shove this piece of garbage up his delusional ***. I'm literally p*ssed. I just wanted a REASONABLE MAC PRO and a display upgrade. Is it really that much to ask after YEARS of waiting?
Don't underestimate the mac pro they just announced. It has the capability to finally bring back a true pro market for Mac. For "reasonable" price, stick with the mac studio and a third party display. Far better option than any of their old pro machines for most users.

Don't expect "upgradeable" to mean CPU for any computer ever again. Even PCs, you still need a new motherboard for new generation CPU almost every time. Some just let you get a low end CPU and upgrade to that same gen high end one later.

God bless y'all in the comments. It ain't serious. Have fun.
For some of us it is. I was literally waiting over a YEAR to buy a mac workstation. Now I need to think how to invest my money in a different platform - because I'm not buying a workstation that will be obsolete in 2-3 years. I'm literally pi**ed.

What's the point of calling Tim Cook an idiot. Do you know him personally? Have you worked with or for him? What product launch do you have to your credit? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean Cook is an idiot. All you have to do is NOT buy it.
it's satire really, and figurative. Obviosuly he's not really an idiot. He'a smart and a good guy.

At least they're innovating.
Lets hope they continue to keep updating their core products.
I still want to see a macOS and iPadOS hybrid device, I mean we're practically there with the 12.9 IPP and Magic keyboard. And an M2 iMac.

I guess this replaces any impending Apple Displays

Completely agree. This is super cool and I'd love to play with it. There's no way that I can envision using it with any regularity.
