They're definitively positioning this as a premium / pro product. Not a consumer product; I'd be shocked if it's under $2k.
$3K given it's got an M2 and R1 inside it. 5000 patents, Zeiss lenses, prob an extra $200 per pair of lenses for vision correction … at least $3K I'm guessing. Oh price came in as I wrote this ~$3.4k I think they said.

Did I hear correctly that with external battery pack, it only lasts 2 hours? so this really is a tethered to the wall product

Depends what you're doing. If you're sitting down then being plugged in is no big deal. Can also have multiple batteries if that's your thing.

The price

Jeez that’s expensive! It’s wonderful but insanely great in price. Maybe in 5 years time.

Will wait a couple years too see if any must-have features exist.

Right now I could use a setup that replaces the several monitors and laptops on my desk, but it would have to come with HDMI inputs.

Right now it seems its lacking in a lot of the critical IO that would make it generally useful.

This seems like a device for someone that is very self-isolated. I don't mean that to be snarky, but if you are alone all day, you really may use it for hours and hours at a time. For 99% of people, this is a product that needs to slim down into glasses form.
