Mainstream versions will be $2,000 and this version will be $1,500 by the time fully immersive 3D worlds are available on a subscription basis to the newest models.

Depends what you're doing. If you're sitting down then being plugged in is no big deal. Can also have multiple batteries if that's your thing.

thats not gonna fare well on the plane though, if you arent on one that has AC ports

Don't underestimate the mac pro they just announced. It has the capability to finally bring back a true pro market for Mac. For "reasonable" price, stick with the mac studio and a third party display. Far better option than any of their old pro machines for most users.

Don't expect "upgradeable" to mean CPU for any computer ever again. Even PCs, you still need a new motherboard for new generation CPU almost every time. Some just let you get a low end CPU and upgrade to that same gen high end one later.

A pro workstation without an upgradable GPU is not a pro workstation. Sorry. I get it - M silicon is for masses, not prosumers, but since they announced a Pro workstation (years ago...) I thought they will deliver. I feel I dont know.. lied to?
