It’s expensive for what you think it is, but it’s about the same price as a MacBook Pro with some upgrades. So it’s not TOTALLY insane. They spent the whole time justifying why its expensive and with all the tech In it, it makes sense it would hit this price point. I dont know if I’ll get the first gen though.

I DONT even CARE IF It costs Zero bucks.

Apple not enough diverse on their pricing policy. Only for the elites. Even the loyalists on this topic would not be able to purchase it. LMAO

$3,499… phew! $3,500 was a deal breaker for me.

I gotta say, Apple knows how to make a presentation.

The Bob Iger participation was a stick in the eye to Ron DeSantis.

Question: If I’m on a call with the goggles on, what do the other people see?
Had the same question.

But I assume is your digital representation - which is creepy

Wow, so that will be about $8000 here in New Zealand. Looks amazing and I understand how much work they have put into it, but it's not for me at that price unfortunately. Maybe in 5 years I can get the Vision air 64 GB version...

So you’ll be careful on a plane using your vision pro not to whack someone’s head while gesturing XD

It’s really cool tech. It will be great for movies and games (if head fatigue doesn’t become a thing). Maybe interesting to use for editing photos/video and doing stuff like 3D modeling…. but until they can get it out of the “big, bulky ski goggle” form factor it has ZERO mainstream appeal at all. Like absolutely none.

Even then the movie thing is kind of suspect. Like how often are you watching a movie completely alone? If you’re in a group, you need at least $7,000 to enjoy this with someone else ha.

Apple will likely be the first company to crack this field… but not for 15 or so years. But I guess you gotta start somewhere.

The eye thing is really creepy.

So after all these rumors it’s a spatial computer - thanks Gurman and the rest of you “leakers”

The production costs on this thing must be insanely high at this point. Would not surprise me if Apple plans on losing money for the first few years. Never mind the insurance costs of shipping demo models to potential users to get their specs etc. Why not have Apple stores do that?
