So people who need their glasses are out? It’s full of tech which is unfortunately obsolete in a few years.

Doesn’t look like this is initially geared towards devs for content building, either. I don’t think there will be that many people who will pay $3500 for this worldwide. Certainly a million or more but can’t imagine it will be broadly adopted unless it gets closer to $1K.

$3499 for something that does even less than a Quest 2 headset. Ouch.

"But just think of the costs of buying a TV and surround sound alone"... A) Pretty sure I could buy both for less than that and B) How are other people in the room going to watch with me? Do we all just want to live alone in a one bedroom apartment? Is that the end goal? It's so depressing.

Never will buy this, but it’s the first well thought out AR UX I’ve ever seen.

So when the glasses finally come about at the end of the decade…

I just want a real world Ad Blocker. Turn every billboard or ad I see into They Live.

I hope this is a predecessor for real glasses. The masses are not going to walk around in this thing, especially not for $3500. What’s the killer app anyways?

So every time my prescription changes, I'm expected to buy some new Zeiss lenses for this thing? They couldn't just make it compatible with eyeglasses?

Clearly designed for people for whom money is absolutely no object.

I'm sorry by Vision Pro is a FAIL. No one wants to walk around with these giant things on and two hours of batter life looking like robots.

Just all around weird. Go back to the drawing board Apple.

Fix Siri. Focus on AI.

Well, I want it. $3,500 is more than expected but not surprising. I’ll just get a part time job to justify my purchase and feel less bad about it :) also I expect a price drop 6 month after release of $500.

Love it! Will definitely be buying one. I'd spend this much on a Mac. Not a big deal. I'm sure the price will become more approachable to ordinary users eventually.

I'm just concerned about no motion controllers. I think they are still essential for games and precise interaction in 3D. Maybe it will be a third-party market?

Remember the good all days where you only had to sell your kidney for an iPhone. Today you have to sell your kids to afford the Vision Pro.

Also:
$3500, available next year and ONLY available in the US. THREE L’s in a row.

"makes you look like a pathetic dork" says all that needs to be said about your maturity, lol. Tell us more about your high school football glory days, please?

I stand by that statement even in light of your genuinely immature comment.

And for the record, I’ve been in the Apple ecosystem since 1994 and I’m not an ex jock. I just think this thing looks stupid and doesn’t offer a compelling reason to literally shut yourself off from reality itself. I have eyes to look at that world. I won’t be rushing to obscure my entire field of vision with an Apple/Disney screen.

You go ahead and buy Tim Cook’s tone-deaf Newton. I’m sure you’ll have a ton fun the three or four times you actually use it.
