I was being sarcastic. Apple did sell three differently-sized PowerBooks under Jobs (12", 15", 17"). If you throw in the iBooks, Apple even sold four different laptop sizes in parallel: 12" iBook, 14" iBook, 15" PowerBook, 17" Powerbook.

Sorry, missed the sarcasm. Hard to tell with all the bs that gets posted.

I think it's more likely they will update the Mac at WWDC.

Or at least announced or hinted during that time frame. The March Keynote will have nothing to contribute to iMacs or the Mac Pro. It's either September 2017 or 2018 for the Mac Pro/iMac.

Don't get this the wrong way, but at what point are Americans and their capitalistic dream finally realize there is no such thing like unlimited growth? There is a point when the market is saturated.

That's a very broad brush and I don't think americans with half a brain believe there is such a thing as unlimited growth. Any that possibly believed that HAD to get a wake up call after the dot com rise and saturation.

They's really no reason to update your iPad Pro if you brought the 9.7 inch version last year. I was hoping they would finally bring 3D touch to the iPad line but nope. Once again Apple wants you to update something without bring anything new to the table. Maybe they will surprise us but I really doubt it. A very huge disappointment once again by Apple and Tim Cook said he would bring something new to the iPad line.

iPad Pro 7.9". Yeah! Hope Apple won't lower the specs. Also want Pencil support, 4GB RAM and True Tone display. Ok, it could get only A10 without X, but please not the predecessor (A9) like Apple have done on the last iPad minis 3+4.

i dont think i have to update my ipad pro 9.7. it runs very well. i want to update my apps. where are the pro apps e.g. for photo management?

my ipad 3 is still working. Why should you upgrade?

Actually, the question should be "Why wouldn't you upgrade." Not everybody has the same appreciation for the same features of an iPad. Not everybody needs to have the same reasons to upgrade to an iPad. For example, an iPad Pro, I could care less about the Apple Pencil, but I appreciate the quad speakers, for media consumption, I would appreciate the more balanced sound that it gives off from what I have on my iPad Air 2.

The joint consensus should be, the iPad has something to offer for everyone, not every feature has to be liked or wanted by the same user.

Oh look, a troll. As a matter of fact, my iPad is my favorite device. I update it every year. If they put the Phone.app on the iPad, I'd never buy another iPhone. And I'm not the only one.

I agree. I would go ipad mini with phone app. I have a bluetooth earphone, I'm ready. Never happen though.

I'm seriously considering the new 10.5" iPad Pro (128 GB) to replace my iPad Air (32 GB). Sure, I could get an iPad Air 2 (128 GB), but I do want something with the latest A-Series SoC.

Or it could be they're just getting a few more miles out of one and done . . .

Anyway, it sure would be nice for Apple to give an indication of what they're trying to achieve with the SE.

Is it a less expensive "entry level" iPhone?
Is it intended to provide a smaller form factor option to those who prefer that?
Something else?

Because depending on its goal it means different things - a tech upgrade makes more sense if it's the second one; letting it wither with older tech makes more sense if it's the first one, but then they need to drop the price further.

Agree. For now, I await patiently, as I do not see the SE being decommissioned if they are starting to build them in India. That alone says that it cannot be a one-and-done.

Oh please apple, I just want a plain iPad with Touch ID, A10X, 4Gb ram and the headphone jack... surely can't be that hard.

Will definitely be trading in my 7 for the 128gb SE. I cannot hold the damn 7, it's like a bar of soap and odd size for my hand.

But what about a refreshed 12" MacBook?? Kaby Lake? 2nd gen keyboard?

I can't believe all the whiners about "where are our computer updates" fail to realise that Super. Computer. is coming in four new sizes! /s

(Seriously though... that pipeline needs a plumber to unclog it and get some new iMacs out of it)

Wouldn't it be weird to see the edge-to-edge screen with no home button on the iPad before than on the iPhone? o_O

I imagine they're going to test the market reaction before committing to introducing that on iPhone 7s+ Pro. A LOT of people like their Home button.

Can't wait to play with that iPad at Apple Store before not buying it, though ;)

Isn't it also weird that they wouldn't remove the bezel and the home button form the 12.9" iPad Pro as well? The 10.5" and the 12.9" will be the high end Pro models.

im asking on behalf of the majority of users. The ipad upgrade % is quite small.

So some hardware upgrades but what about a new ios that utilizes the screen space?

Why is that so much to ask after all these years?

we still have an oversized iphone.
