Sweet. I'm looking forward to the new iPad Pro's. But, I'll probably end up picking up an iPad mini 4 once the new ones are out.

4 different iPad screen sizes? Completely unnecessary. Why is there a market for a tablet device that is 0.8in bigger? Go one step further and create a tablet out of stretchy material so that it can be resized accordingly.

Three.

10.5 will replace 9.7 with the same form factor body with larger screen and reduced bezels.

Wow about time !

We've been all waiting to update our iPads said NOBODY!

Um....no. Said ME! I've been waiting to update my iPad mini 3 for awhile now. Want an iPad Pro, but was waiting for the update to see if they'd announce an iPad mini Pro.

I might replace my mini, Its out of support now, so a new mini is desirable, just not sure its worth another 500 bucks at this time. If the bottom falls out of the price of the mini 4 , i will look at that. I wish they would quit screwing with chassis sizes, I have a really nice folio my mini is in, And I would love to be able to reuse it.

Might dump the 9.7 ipad pro for a 12" one but only with a good deal later. I wouldn't pay anything near asking price for these. Depends on new apple pencil if they have one as well.

The article isn't quite clear on this. It simply suggests an updated 9.7 inch model...so does that mean a faster processor, or replaced by the 10.5. I hope it's the latter.

Update four iPads at one event - I gotta see this.

I think they have it backwards though as when to release products. ipads would do better in holidays. Phones are something i never gift anyone or wait for holidays on.

It'll probably be one of those two, I think 9.7 is due for retirement soon either way. I have a feeling it if is updated, it'll be updated with something redundant like a new colour in order to shift the last batch of internals, and after a while will be discontinued or they'll just dump and replace in one swift move.

On another note, a 10.5 would finally convince me to upgrade my Air 2, as there was not enough incentive for me to jump to Pro 9.7. Two generations of upgraded internals and a larger screen would convince me.

I was disappointed when buying my daughters last iPhone that the SE had so little memory. A great phone but limited with a small amount of expensive ram.

But... Apple will just like always GOUGE an exorbitant amount of cash for memory that is cheaply available elsewhere.

The SE has 2gb RAM; cant see how that is too little?!

The SE had the same amount of ram as the iPhone 7. Why would you expect more?

Yes, don't fall victim to the belief that more RAM is better. It's about balance. The iPhone SE's 2GB RAM is likely an ideal amount to match the overall system specs.

I may be wrong, but I think Dan From Canada actually meant storage memory, rather than RAM.. when he said "memory"... which makes more sense following the couple of previous posts about the storage memory of 128GB..

2GB RAM is indeed perfectly adequate for the SE, as others have said.
But a higher storage memory option will be welcome by some.
And welcome by others as a sign that Apple agree that the SE has been a big success, and that not all of us want a phablet phone in the future..

Options are good, more chance of people getting what they want.
Isn't it amazing some people prefer limited choices, what is up with that?

Does she care, or even tell the difference? then why would you?

To try and persuade the people who bought a 9.7" one last year to upgrade...?

In the past, you'd have expected the 10.5 to replace the 9.7 at the same price point (esp. since the 9.7 Pro already got an effective price hike last year, and there's already the 9.7" Air as a cheaper fallback). These days? We'll see.

My concern is what it is like to handle - you need some bezel to hold the thing in your hands (its too big to grip by the edges like a phone).

Will they update any of their computers? It's simple just put new chips.... some of you will say not a big enough change. Better then selling us 2+ year old tech
