Here in L.A. Buzz on this movie is certifiably BAD... That is spelled SUCKS. Not many "winners" are released on Christmas Day... Why? Because it's a shoe in for money before word of mouth kills it... Yea I know what I'm talking about

Jobs pushed to get movies released, same day as Theatres, for a really long time. Up the cost obviously. It's something they are still probably pushing for...

Anyways. I know it took for a major hack, of a major company to happen, but this is the certainly thebeginning of Internet television...

Ps. Already started to see the movie show up on torrent sites...

Pps. obviously apple is playing cautiously around this release because of the iCloud "fappening" hacking debacle..

Exactly what is the point? SONY stupidly dropped it's own ball. Had super insecure data exposed and dumped the release of a film then cried about it then in a rush to capitalize on all the attention rushed it to VOD and Apple passed.

FYI. Do you think that the other content players weren't considered or solicited on its advisement ? There is wayyyy more affoot here than you comprehend. Deal with it and enjoy your holiday. This is really not worth it

At least they made the terrorists happy. It's great for the CEO to stand up for social justice and equality for homosexual people but when it comes to dealing with terrorists, Apple have proven themselves to be even more spineless than SONY.

First of all you and I have no clue what "terms" Sony was asking from Apple. Yea that matters.

Second -- don't you "get it" that the CONTENT companies decide what you see and where you see it. get a grip.

Third - Netflix is consistently censored BY THE CONTENT companies so they (sony) and others want YOU to pay MORE.

Fourth - Companies like Warner Bros are driving your local video rental store out-of-business in order to CONTROL content and your access to it.

For the life of me I cannot understand most you dint point your weapons at Sony, Viacom, NewsCorp, Warners, and Disney that cause most of you to "pay" $200 a month for "controlled" access to content - and that could be content you've paid for ...

I mean nobody BUT Apple has been trying to bust OPEN access to content - wtf are all of these gadgets for - for God sake ..

Get off your "censorship against Apple soapbox" and point all that anger and the guys like SONY that I hate to say - got beat at their own game by hackers.

I feel zero about this situation until it gets into things like turning off systems our lives depend on - and I'm sure you'll be real pissed then.

Wow - more spineless than Sony.. I didn't think anyone else could top them. Now this is all Apples fault or is it. Now if this was The Hobbit my head would b falling off and rolling downhill to the Samsung display at best buy!

FYI. I work in the Entertainment biz here is LA... If SONY went forward with its release and only ONE idiot knocklehead did something stupid ALL theaters could have ended up a ghost town on a week when 30 % of gross box office for the YEAR is made. God the whining. See the whole picture

Btw. Anyone that has seen this movie here in town certified it SUCKS. Perhaps this "censorship" saved some americans some of their hard earned money. Duh.

By the way, I am a consumer of the "Entertsinment biz". And unfortunately for you, I'm in the majority of the population who want to see this.

My comment had nothing to do with Apple or any other company.

It was a simple rebuttal to the idea that there was no need to protect the right to view bad films.

I was saying that the defense of freedom should not be based on critic ratings.

I just saw the actual movie. It's very funny. On paper, you wouldn't think Franco and Rogen would work, but they have great chemistry. This is going to be a hit.
 
I just watched it. It was actually pretty damn funny. Franco was weirder than ever, but hey, I didn't expect it. It might even be as good as Pineapple Express.
 
Good job Sony at creating this fake hack crap in order to get your movie to be the most talked about movie of the year. Many people know that you are having financial problems and this was nothing but a publicity stunt to get people at looking at your products again. :p

A big deal

The way I personally see this is that it is a HUGE deal.
It has nothing to do with being hacked or racism or financial gains. I see the bigger picture of North Korea threatening to do 911 style attacks on the USA.
We do not negotiate with terrorists we need to stick to our way of life and the freedom that has been fought for in wars by our heroes. Because of them we have the freedom that we do. If we show the world that we have no back bone than they will walk all over us. On the other hand I do see where Apple is a global company with stores and factories all over the world. Other countries do not have the security that we do and I respect that they do not want anyone getting hurt or killed. I still feel very strongly that we cannot let terrorist dictate how we live our lives and we should stand up for our freedom. That is what this country is founded on.
