What a coward move by Apple to give in to the hackers. Thought better of them but after the report from Shenzhen it really doesn't surprise me anymore.

Yes they leaked over 10'000 personal emails, personal information on over 4000 employers and some of their own movies that have just been released or not even been out yet, causing hundreds of million dollars in damages and lawsuits just to promote this movies...seriously the level of stupidity and ignorance some of you people stoop to is incredible -.-

I see humour is not your strong suit

Liberals Liberals Liberals

Apple leadership is disgraceful. The idea that an American company would become a willing accessory to censorship of a movie in response to terrorist threats once again shows us the hypocrisy of limousine liberals.

And LOL at the idea that they did this because the movie is bad.... as if iTunes isn't full of movies that are total dogs. Marriage equality is not the only freedom you should stand for, Mr. Cook.

I shocked you know how to use a computer. We get it you don't like liberals.

Apple did the right thing. A horrible movie, only getting publicity through victimising and imaginary accusations. The Koreans probably never this this but it's an incredible marketing success from Sony. They come out as heroes despite two fails: data security and production quality.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a real big deal?? Why you ask??? Sorry if someone else mentioned it - way too many comments to read..

Jobs pushed to get movies released, same day as Theatres, for a really long time. Up the cost obviously. It's something they are still probably pushing for...

Anyways. I know it took for a major hack, of a major company to happen, but this is the certainly thebeginning of Internet television...

Ps. Already started to see the movie show up on torrent sites...

Pps. obviously apple is playing cautiously around this release because of the iCloud "fappening" hacking debacle..

I guess I'll have to try Google play movies.

While you are at it, try Google Music. I just settled on it as the best streaming service, almost as good as the old MOG was before Beats acquired it. Better library than Spotify and better radio and playlist functions than Beats.

Plus you get the Premium Youtube music videos thrown in for $7.99 a month.

I haven't used iTunes in years, even though I have a mostly Apple house (ATVs, iMacs iPads, iPhones and Mac Books). I love Apple's design, for the most part, but don't like the company much.

For those people talking bout Korea, are there any proofs? Or are these the same idiots that were freaking out about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? It's like some idiots never learn. The truth is simple. The movie is horrible and aggressive, calling for state terrorism. And this from a company with racist management making disgusting comments about people with different skin color. I'm glad Apple stays away from these people in this case.

Gosh...you guys are so black and white.

Apple simply didn't agree to a rushed timetable. I'm sure we'll see it on iTunes, but not rushed in 2-3 days.

In my opinion, the two issues involved are business and security.

Apple not offering the movie at this exact moment is not a big deal, in my opinion. What is a big deal, is Apple not being a front and center target for hackers, which can put us all at risk with service and privacy.

I think some here are making too much out of this. And if some of you want to stop buying Apple because of some stupid movie, have at it. God forbid a business not do everything you expect every single time.

Just watched it on youTube. Not half bad. Not great, but not bad. Definitely what I expected and provided a great laugh for the family. Sorry Apple, you coulda had my $6, but Google got it instead.

Apple did the right thing to not risk their networks during the Christmas season.

I notice non of you apple haters haven't mentioned the biggest streamer of movies "netflix" is also not showing it? Also notice the other company with the most to loose over Christmas Amazon has elected not to stream it.

Remember google is censored anyway in China?

And at the rate android users upgrade their operating system and pay for apps nobody will notice if googles network is down for a few months

Nothing unusual in this, nothing is free at Apple, not even free speech!

The joke is your logic. Because its always Apple's fault and not the hundreds of other companies refusing the movie as well?

And the logic that it's never apples fault is more sound? Or how about the fact you automatically assumed that because someone chastised apple, it means they are the ONLY ones at fault? Please tell me more about your sound logic. I'd love to hear it.

I don't think Apple should get a bad terrorist promoting movie from a racist company. Particularly at this moment when the whole world sees that people are routinely shot in the USA just for having the wrong skin color.

The whole thing seems fishy. So much drama and suddenly everything seems to work out perfectly fine in a matter of two days and the threats by those hackers have conveniently stopped too.

Anyway gonna watch it in bed now :)

really? its not on itunes? I was trying to decide where to buy it, itunes (watch on ipad or macbook), google play (note 4) or xbox live but decided to get it on google play without looking at the other places so i could cast it to the chromecast...

Tim Cook is a coward. He is only afraid that the Koreans would go after Apple. Google is the man and I paid the $15 to show my support. It's not that the movie is good or bad; it's that we cannot be intimidated by terrorist.

The two guys that got shot were carrying weapons and this last one (I do not recall details on the other) pointed the weapon at the officers...has nothing to do with skin color.

If your free speech comment is in regards to Apple not hosting the movie for sale or rent, you might want to do some research on the First Amendment. There has been no infringement of the First Amendment on this matter.

Oh...lighten up! It's Christmas!

LOL! Have you actually seen the movie to proclaim it "horrible and aggressive"? Calling for state terrorism?!

And how is an Asian-controlled company racist by poking fun at a comical Asian dictator (granted, not comical at all if you happen to live in NK)? Or do you mean the email mentioning President Obama, which is rather innocuous?

The point is NOT whether the movie is good or bad, but rather that threats of retribution should not silence the non-violent free expression, in bad taste or not. I doubt very much you will ever get it.

Check under the bed....

Yea oh so disgraceful. Go frequent the SameSong forums. Show them some love. Oh wait. They aren't showing the film either. disgraceful. Get a life. Who cares.

You'll b ******** in your pants when a hack like this comes your way. Bet on it. And you won't be whining on Christmas Eve about iTunes not accommodating SONYs stupidity to begin with.

FYI. I work in the Entertainment biz here is LA... If SONY went forward with its release and only ONE idiot knocklehead did something stupid ALL theaters could have ended up a ghost town on a week when 30 % of gross box office for the YEAR is made. God the whining. See the whole picture

Btw. Anyone that has seen this movie here in town certified it SUCKS. Perhaps this "censorship" saved some americans some of their hard earned money. Duh.

that's like saying hacker never leaked Jennifer Lawrence's picture, Apple did it to get more publicity.

Take off your tin hat for once, it's Christmas
