Riiiight. I'll let you just sit and stew on your own comment there.Yes, but not much.
You don't need to connect a 6k monitor to edit 4k or 8k. You'll need an 8k monitor to play it back in full resolution, but not to edit it.

Pass never touched TB4, crossed wire somewhereTB4 supports it. Apple GPU doesn’t support it without melting or they just didn’t say it instead of bragging about their XDR monitors as nothing technically stops it from working.
Apple gets into AA, AAA gaming will likely be yet another device. Deliberate segregation, differentiation, strict control and monetisation. Apple would likely lever the performance of it's silicon based Mac's, yet just different enough to force a new product through as a standalone purchase...I hope apple gets out of their greedy mindset and try to do great products for people instead of a small subset. Ironically apple would make more money if they actually cared about not squeezing everything. But now it’s catch 22 and apple refuses to do anything.
Nothing I said described intel. They don’t build windows Os.You do realize that you are describing what intel has done and why their chips suck right? Deliver everything, specialize in nothing.
Quote? Thunderbolt 4 uses DisplayPort 2.0 and support 10k display. As I said nothing technically stops it outside of GPU limitations.Pass never touched TB4, crossed wire somewhere

Why would they need another device? The M1 and M1 pro/ Max are extremely powerful and perfect for gaming with the equivalent of the 1060 or a RTX3050-3080Apple gets into AA, AAA gaming will likely be yet another device. That is extremely sad tho as it’s a great product but horrible software. They did everything good but support game developers or external GPU support for the M1In summation Apple is all about money. Nor do I think it looks produce a bad product, it does however look to extract the maximal from the customer as opposed to merging technologies to offer the best device...

Maybe Apple will, nobody outside of Apple knows. That said Apple clearly and deliberately differentiates to maximise profit. An Apple AAA focused console is just another untapped revenue stream waiting to happen. The gaming industry is huge, so just why has Apple ignored it for so very long? Apple either doesn't care or has plans to make significant inroads as and when Apple decides to do so.Quote? Thunderbolt 4 uses DisplayPort 2.0 and support 10k display. They already have the silicone to quite literally kill the entire x86, Nvidia, AMD gaming market for all but perhaps higher end gaming. For a killer deal, 60w and 15+ Battery life while the equivalent intel laptops would die in 30min

I don’t think you understand how this works, programming can’t do magic and macs run what 10 times more power and capability to an iPhone. you are making two different games if it use any qualities of the Mac att all. It’s equally a dead end as Microsoft’s stubbornly trying to unify touch interface tablets and dedicated computers.
Have you seen it?

No need for a consol. Their computers already have the power. Apples equivalent console would be the iPad, iPhone, appleTVMaybe Apple will, nobody outside of Apple knows. Oh yes indeed that I can agree with. And if apple invested some money in game developers they would grow their Mac hardware sales. The new MBP's are very capable, equally without Apple's intervention there is simply not enough of us on the platform to entice major developers barring a small minority. Yes it's big $$$ yet not enough in the broader scale of the gaming industry.
Well shame, I’ll just run OS X on my PC. And not play by their rulesTLDR want a Mac? You have to play in Apple's garden...

Well I don’t. That’s why I sold my retina MacBook Pro. Bought a many times better Desktop. And An iPad( biggest regret) will sell it for a laptop later on."I hope apple gets out of their greedy mindset and try to do great products for people instead of a small subset. Why support a greedy company that refuses to do anything? I certainly wouldn't.
Well I have. I still just like OSX and would like to buy it again instead build a hackintosh.Simply find a better laptop from a competing manufacturer and find happiness.
Easy.
Missing the point, not yours or mine solely Apple's. Nor will you be running macOS on PC much longer as the writing is clearly in the wall. Apple will get into serious gaming once other line's are saturated. Apple plays a long game and it clearly pays off like or loath it.No need for a consol. Their computers already have the power. Why have apple ignored it? Because they don’t care for the max as all the revenue is in iPhone. Evidence Mac Pro trash can (terrible design) being abandoned from 2013 untill 2019 uppgrade for useful work after 6 years of being abandoned, and iMac Pro 2017, both being abandoned and terribly designed for professional work.
And the 2016 and forward MacBook Pro with their terrible thermal performance and butterfly keyboard. A compromise build for a thin profile for no objective benefit at all. You want light buy a MacBook Air.

Well I can always use the last available x86 compatible OS X version. But I will patiently wait as I would love to have the MacBook Air, but I need the ability to run a lot of windows programs and would love to play some of my core games at least on it.Missing the point, not yours or mine solely Apple's. Well their 1m Pro/max already far surpasses the Xbox and PS5 in all theoretical tasks. The Mac mini if updated with equivalent cpu/GPU ram neededAn Apple gaming console would have the power way above it's competitor's, more importantly Apple would have complete control over sales with Dev's clamouring to get on the platform, IOS!!! Yes there will be spin off's as there are today, equally I'd be very surprised if Apple does not opt for this lucrative path versus an open market model such as Windows gaming...
Then we will se how this develops considering it’s the best CPU/GPU on the market for a laptop. They should just do like everyone else and buy/invest in developers to do the best games on their platform as a customer interest. The 2016 redesign MBP was a disaster and I'm firmly on record from the onset as stating so, including it's reliability issues. Until Apple Silicon was released I ceased using Mac's professionally as they were simply inconvenient, worse unreliable. To me a Mac is a tool not a party piece, thankfully the tide is turning. The rest we will see in time. If Apple was good with gaming on the Mac the store and it's pricing would reflect.

Xbox series X have 26GB, perhaps 16 is enough. And 512gb ssd.
And sold it for 600$ instead of 1.000$ it would destroy the competition if they had AAA games of note.

To me a tool must be able to do both work and entertainment in equal quality, having both have no impact on work quality, but helps with life quality
Render "The Simulation"?If we're doing color grading on a MacBook Pro, what's left for Mac Pros to do?![]()
