Apple has announced that its HomePod speaker is delayed until early 2018, according to a statement provided to CNBC.

"We can't wait for people to experience HomePod, Apple's breakthrough wireless speaker for the home, but we need a little more time before it's ready for our customers," Apple said. "We'll start shipping in the US, UK and Australia in early 2018."
Apple previously said the HomePod would launch in December in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia.

Damn. With Amazon releasing new Echos with much better sound quality, I wonder if they need to get that price down to a more reasonable level.
I'm also glad about this. After paying up front for the iPhone X (256GB), my tech budget is easily blown for the rest of this year anyway XD

Actually AirPlay 2 was working in previous beta. Gone in the current beta. Seemed to work fine for me when I had it and was able to control my Apple TV music right on my phone like the native music app.Guarantee this is an AirPlay 2.0 issue. They haven't implemented it in any public betas yet, and it was slated for iOS 11 release
