That's certainly too bad if you can't use an iPhone if that's what you prefer. How easy is it to find an Android to use if that's what you're doing? Or is there still an iPhone model on LCD that's current enough?
 
I thought I’d soon get a battery replacement for this one. It’s one of my favourite iPhones, in my opinion.
 
I have a day 1 purchase that's still working to this day, albeit a bit of dark spots on top of the screen but it's perfectly fine for an alarm clock! If anyone has this still, check back with current iPhone and X, the 3D Touch gives such a solid feedback.

I retired mines to upgrade to 17e. Was a very pleasant experience to use. I never got the line in the middle issue either. However, It just couldn't keep up with certain tasks.

This is not great news for parents.

Like a lot of moms & dads, we struggle with "devices" and screens for our kids. Ours were the last kids in their respective grades to get iPhones, and they got our old iPhoneXs: which are perfect phones for kids. Or… were.
 
Whoa, those 9 years went by fast.

And to think, after all these years I still have never owned an iOS device that lacks a home button.

iPhone SE3 still does the job.

Design that got copied left and right, but not perfectly enough.
My first phone in that format was the iPhone 11 Pro, and I loved it.
 
I remember getting my X sometime close to launch day. It truly felt like something special at the time. It was different in a good way way. I liked the 3D Touch and Face ID, while I liked Touch ID felt like Face ID was cutting edge. It was a fun time to upgrade and despite some design issues I though it was innovative. Lots of good memories from the X.

Next phone I got that felt like something special was when I went to the Max form factor. After that I stopped using my ipad because the Max screen filled the difference between my laptop and my standard phone. Never bought another iPad again.

I’ve been using mine up until last month. I had it for 7 years, the last 2 of those with a new Apple battery. Eventually phone was just too old to support modern usage. it was running the latest supported iOS but my banking app required a newer system. I’ve traded it in at Apple for $65 and the only thing i miss is the stainless steel edge which was less slippery to hold.

Really? I got rid of my X after just shy of 6 years of use and replaced it with a 15PM. My 15PM isn't sluggish at all and runs iOS 26.6 like a champ. I'm expecting at least the same 5-6 years of use out of it and my battery is showing 92% battery health after almost 3 years..

My battery is at 83%. I always used battery saver, I never even really used the phone that heavily. Either I got a bad one or you got a good one
