Hmm both seem to be Serials starting w/ DNP. My Serial starts w/ C39, & production week is actually week 35 (September). My battery issues weren't there the first few weeks, but lately has been really bad. Haven't got 6+ hrs of actual usage in a while

I have this exact same issue. Started off really good but now I barely scrape 5-6 hours of usage. It's possibly software related. Mine is C39 as well.

I'm just hoping I didn't damage my battery some other way.

C39 here also. Getting about 6 hours like yourself, with light usage everyday. Not sure if it's iOS 7 or what but my 5 was able to reach 8-9 hours easy. Hope this is normal. :/

So I tried something out. I shut down my phone at 1% then charged it up to 100% by waiting like 2 hours as it was powered down. Turned it back on and lasted me 8 hours today. Helped me and hope it remains that way tomorrow as well.

I scheduled a call with apple since they didn't call me and I believe my phone is affected with this issue. My usage was around 5 hours and the battery is already at 20%. Then I asked the the person in charge about this issue but she doesn't seem to know about this. She said that this issue is not known to Apple. All she asked me to do was to restore it to factory setting. So to whom do I call to get my serial number checked?? Mine started with DNP as well.

called back apple. They're sending me out a replacement phone. Who knows if its a new one or refurbished, although at this stage i seriously doubt there are any refurbished 5Ses out there, especially replacements for defects. I wanted to go to the apple store but i seriously doubt they hold any 32GB in stock in any color so i just couldn't be bothered.

One thing to note is my phone is unlocked too since i bought a full price AT&T version and the rep said i'd be sent a replacement unlocked phone too. phew.

Are you past the 30 day return period? If not, I would take the phone into the store and do an exchange. I took my phone in due to the battery and they gave me a replacement unit and told me it was a new device, but I just didn't feel good about it so I had them give me a phone in a retail box with the accessories. They do claim at this time they don't have refurbs, but I don't trust them. Also, if they don't have the phone you need in stock you can have them call or email you when one comes in. I had a very nice salesman who did this for me. Good luck.

i doubt any of them would've done it for me. i checked local iphone inventory before calling in.

I bought my phone on day one. I'm far past the return period.

So is the replacement phone also start with DNP? Or different serial ?

Also what was your replacement serial start with? Mine starts with DNP and not getting the best battery life for the task I do.

What should be the normal charge time for an iphone 5S starting when the iphone was completely discharged?

Where can I see the recall list if there's any?

I'm kind of surprised this thread died out. I still haven't bought a 5S because of this issue...
