Is this something we should really be worried about? Or is Apple just taking precautions and it won't really be a noticeable issue?

It looks beautiful in Jet Black but in reality it will only stay that way if I never touch it. Fingerprints and fine scratches would bug me far too much. I always use a case and have no problem with that so I'll be going for regular matte Black.

They should also note for all future owners of iPhone 7. "In the near future it is possible that your iPhone 7 will stop working due to malfunctions caused by flawed design in microprocessor cover. We have warn you, further notice excluded"

It also depends on how you really take care of the phone. But overall this color is very tempting and I'm debating either between the black or Jet black.

For those of you trying to decide between Black and Jet Black, bear in mind that Jet Black costs more than the other iPhone 7 options, in the sense that the 32GB option isn't available for the Jet Black model and so you're forced to have at least the 128GB option if you want Jet Black.

I am looking at getting the Jet Black for the grippyness that a high shine surface provides. Not too excited about the scratching though.

Good news for Apple, they've got me sitting real cozy in the 64GB 6s model so there's no way I can drop to a 32. Sales & Marketing done right.

3G and 3GS owners will surely remember what a "jet black" iPhone looks like

I remember these days. I think I'll go black instead of jet black. I wonder if the new AW series 2 have the same matching black watches?

You can't buy a phone like that and not use it naked. Naked all day!

I wonder if you can polish this to remove the micro scratches or if that would make the finish dull.

Can't be any worse than the stainless steel they used to use on the back of iPods. It won't bother me.

Wow, that brought back a flash of memories. It can't have been 15 years since the iPod! Wow!

Just remembered the first iPod Nano that bent. I don't recall as much of a fuss back then but iPhones are much more prevalent these days.

The 128gb cost the same as the 64gb 6s though. I'm sure some will be able to drop to 32gb while others will gladly go to 128gb

As sexy as this phone looks, I can see it getting pretty scratched fairly easily, kind of like the backs of iPods did. Having said that, I'm glad there's still another black option to choose from.
