Looks like Apple found another way to nickel and dime their customers. What was so difficult about releasing that phone as a 32GB?

Unless if you have been living under the rock, I'll just refresh it for you.

Kgl reported that Apple has an very low yeild(few good iPhones in a batch with majority of failure housing) so the few good housing are being fitted with higher tiers so they have priority to higher tiers and they might release it to 32 ounces all the demands are met.

Margins, my friend, margins!! That jet black finish has to cost more to produce than the other regular anodized finishes, so to compensate for that additional cost, Apple only makes it available on their higher margin (larger GB capacity) models.
Some what true but not completely, you a correct on margins ( but only for the time being) since they have an very low yeild of housing for it so they are being fitted with higher tiers to even prices out. And they kgl reported that its has chances ones demands are meet they might make it 32

3G and 3GS owners will surely remember what a "jet black" iPhone looks like

Mine never got that way, but in any event – plastic. Not even close to anodized aluminum, especially in this case given the extra steps they are taking to provide a durable coating.

In any event, Space Black Apple Watch needs a Jet Black iPhone.

So I have had the space black Apple Watch for about 6 months now and the only scratch I can actually see is a little white mark where a bit of the coating has come off, how will this compare to the jet black iPhone 7 in terms of durability? is it a similar type of coating? I would love to go without a case as I have done with my watch, have used a case since the 4S but it looks too damn good to cover up. Would look so nice alongside my Watch; here's hoping for a space black/jet black Macbook too!

I'll be picking up my 256Gb Jet Black ( iPhone upgrade) by September 26 (according to the email from Apple Support). I already have a slim clear case to improve the grip, and still show off the Jet Black sexiness.
Micro-abrasions be damnned, I'm gonna photograph everything I see for a year! (In and out of the water!)

Just go with the regular black and the black leather apple case. Lasted me a full two years with the 6 and looks great.

Youre scratching it wrong! Hidden iOS 10 feature; Settings > General > Exterior Appearance > Scratch Resistance > set to High. Default is low. Make sure you adjust before taking plastic off.
