I actually enjoyed the ad. In a time where there is way too much hatred in the world, it sends a positive message of acceptance, even if fueled by a holiday celebrated by only a portion of the world.

Well it's a good thing it's the 21st century in that ad, and nobody waved a flaming torch in his face or it would have been a disaster as the monster would have gone on a rampage of death and destruction ...

Not a fan of their new ad campaigns. Before they used to tell the story of people doing ordinary things with their Apple devices and showcasing some of those great ideas (made on an iPhone, shot with an iPhone, etc. etc.). But these micro stories they have now are just... well... weird. They feel contrived and the message of the Apple product is totally lost in the sixty second commercial (although I did like the 'invention' commercial). This one... not so much.

It's never the marketing team but the idiots at top approving them.

True! But I just don't understand where theyer going. Remember the 2013 holiday ad for the iPhone 5s? That was a great ad! Wish they still made ads like that one.

Jony Ive is looking rough - maybe if they hooked him up to a lightning conductor he would come back to life and start designing user-centric products again instead of doing a spot of decorating for Claridge's.

Apple really are spending money in the wrong places.

Remember when there were just a handful of iPhone ads each year instead of each month?

If they focused on the product instead they would have something that sold itself.
Arguably they already do - I'm sure that 99% of people that watch the ad are aware of the iPhone 7.

I saw christmas ads at halloween. We still haven't gotten past thanksgiving and the streets are decorated with Christmas. Today on the bus I heard people saying happy holidays. This ad is okay, I guess.

BUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? WHEN DID CHRISTMAS START IN OCTOBER? THIS CONSUMPTION FRENZY WORLD WILL HAVE CHRISTMAS STARTING IN FEBRUARY SOON.

For the record, Christmas starts December 24 and and ends January 6 -- 12 days of christmas. NOT 12 months of Christmas.

(sorry, I should wait till after the turkey is sliced before ranting)

man the ad was weird!! Idk what's going on with apples marketing team this year. I liked the first iPhone 7 ad, but all of the commercials from this year have been very...different lol
They have hired a load of people so they produce many ads, each of which are less effective than a few good ones.

If you look, there was a major shift after 2012, presumingly because that's where the ads weren't planned by the original, smaller team.

They are so generic now.

They should have outfitted Frankenstein with 2 USB-C port's on each side of his neck.
No, that's too much I/O. 1 port is enough.

I would hardly call this "generic"
